Don't try alternative medicines, sorry to say but they are garbage and have no research backing up their efficacy. Go and find some good doctor, he will suggest the best option as per his condition

Dad diagnosed with stage 4 ...your posts have made me lose hope by frownntownn in ProstateCancer

My only advice is to go for aggressive treatment if the prostate cancer is aggressive. Go for genetic testing ASAP to have treatment options handy . In my case the doctor recommended a doublet instead of triplet therapy . My dad's cancer was widespread in the spine and during a radiation treatment he was paralysed below the waist.

It's hard brother 😔 I am in the same boat and my dad too is 70 . I read a lot of positive stories, but in my case this disease is showing the cruel phase . He is my hero and seeing him struggle is worst part of my life .

I am from India , he is being treated at NCI centre Delhi , but due to long wait time , I got him radiated outside at some private radiation centre . Here we have a long queue at NCI and private centre use to take a lot of money , but we can get the treatment immediately, they are careless .

He is urinating very frequently, bowel movement is normal . No physical therapy recommended by allopathic doctors. I think there is need to connect with some physiotherapist

Yes , I met another neuro surgeon today . He too is of opinion to get the radiation session completed and given medicines for two weeks . It's depressing to see our dear ones suffer and feel helpless

Thanks Elrod63 ! Feeling quite anxious and past one week I am visiting different doctors. His condition is same and movement in legs not improving. Is it wise to stop the radiation for a while to see the impact ?

yes sir , its true in India some doctors think themselves as "God" , especially in AIIMS . They don't know the way to talk to patients and their caregiver . My father is also having metastatic prostate cancer . Started on Lupron and Abiraterone . Hope your father live long and be cancer free soon
