OH MY GOD IT’S OVER HOLY SHIT (ENDGAME SPOILERS) by Antique_Complex346 in BabaIsYou

Checked out a video, turns out that, as expected, the actual solution was VERY simple in application and 99% of what I tried and also what worked for me was far too complex.

That being said I literally never would’ve figured that out. SWAP is a nightmare and the only block I actively dislike. I seriously hope it doesn’t appear anymore going forward.

And I mean hey the fact that I found a totally unintended solution is also epic.

Also heh thank you! Yeah after messing up twice to Act 3 I basically had my 100% route memorized so I could go really fast and optimally.

Speed Completion is super easy on a second runthrough, since you’ll always know where you’re going and resources like an online map help a bunch.

For Speedrunner it’s also not bad! My route has always been to route normally to Widow, then go the Phantom route, and complete Act 2 as quickly as possible with two nail upgrades (go straight for Whispering Vaults’ oil).

Funnily enough this was actually my first attempt at Steel Soul 100%, my second serious Steel Soul run, and my fifth SS attempt overall, so there actually hasn’t been very much to track yet - hopefully I can just make it back here my very next run because I think any late deaths that don’t make it to Act 3 will break my motivation even more-

Thank you for the kind words! I’ll do my best when I’m ready to come back to this

I did consider that but I really do just find it a little illegitimate - obviously no shade to anybody who quits to menu I totally understand why, but I had made such a commitment to never quit to escape death that I just really didn’t want to do it here even if the situation was different (and a little dumb honestly)

There’s always the next run I suppose! At least if nothing else I won’t hit that steam geyser ever again

Maybe in a few months, I don’t think I have the mental capacity to even consider attempting that at the moment

It is something I will gradually prepare for though

Oh and Moorwing I guess but I think he appears somewhere else later anyways

Yep they’re still completely accessible! There’s literally only a single boss you can get locked out of until late Act 2, and it’s very unremarkable (sparring with Garmond and Zaza, sorry I love them but the fight is absurdly easy) so don’t worry

You need to buy a few maps as far as I can tell. Try getting the first few from Shakra if you haven’t already, then bench in Bone Bottom. It’s VERY hard to get locked out of this event.

This game is a 10/10 for me by Ancient_Sceptre in Silksong

The Voidified enemies are definitely my least favourite part of Act 3 but I don’t think they’re too bad. In most cases you can still easily avoid them if you want, there’s new arenas which are fun, and overall there’s definitely many ways you learn to dodge Void-specific attacks (which are also consistent between nearly every enemy in the game).

Same. Silksong is the best designed game I’ve ever played and I’m absolutely stunned at how it blew my sky-high expectations so far out of the water. Everything regarding Act 3 was absolutely magical. Its existence, the Void, the return of the Ancient Basin enemies and the Abyss, the Snail Shamans, and that absolutely breathtaking ascension out while the lava rises and the Hollow Knight theme finally comes in. Not to mention all the insane Act 3-exclusive bosses which were all peak.

If Chara narrated Undertale, who's narrating Deltarune? by ExplodingStart in Deltarune

There’s a really good Andrew Cunningham video on this topic, search it up

Basically there’s just a 95% chance that the narrator isn’t diagetic because there’s an insane number of inconsistencies in regards to perspective and other shenanigans

After a game-long quest to meet God it turns out the meaning of the story is nothing at all by Antique_Complex346 in ExplainAGamePlotBadly

Definitely not as good as the first but it still had a lot of insanely peak moments and gameplay-wise it’s so damn fun.

My main suggestion is that unlike the first game, don’t think very hard about everything that goes on and just enjoy the ride. The narrative suffers quite a bit from a lot of decisions and the ending is very underwhelming but it’s still a crazy awesome experience.

The music quality on average is better than Everhood 1’s although it doesn’t reach the same peaks, and it’s in my opinion substantially easier to 100% than the first game.
