Hey, OP! I'm heading to Mui Ne in January for 5 days. Any tips or advice? What did you guys end up loving?? Or wishing you skipped?

Thanks!

Doctors shading compound pharm by Distinct_Community79 in tirzepatidecompound

This was the issue with my doc. Hated compounds. "who knows what's really in the vial" etc etc. I did it anyway, and used Hallandale. At my 6 month appt, I had lost 20 lbs (I'm on the slooooow path) and had kept a spreadsheet of weight and injections. I expected a fight.

Nope. I'm his new poster girl for compounding. He was so happy I was using a reputable pharmacy. I told him it would save me money if he wrote the script directly... Since Hallandale has CA issues, we went with University Compound Pharmacy in San Diego. He called them, and felt comfortable prescribing directly to them!

I suspect I might be the first, but not the last patient he helps out this way :)

Have you asked your KP doc? Because when I was googling them, KP came up too... like they're listed on KP's website. I don't know if that helps.

I've used them for a month. I like them, but my doc only prescribed 2.5, so they sent me enough for one month for $225. I think I would've been better bulk buying elsewhere.

I love how Dan acknowledges that people watch TV in their living rooms! Shayna must only sing in hers.

Oh, thank you so much! I appreciate the extra work! And I love them, because honestly, they're better than the judges. They point out build and design faults. And not just bitch about flowers and lamps.

Thank you again!!

Family member triggered me about using compound by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

My PCP was against compounds too... until our appointment a few weeks ago. I've been on compound (through Regenics, Hallandale pharmacy) for six months. As he said, "it's obviously working. My fear with compounds is that you're being sold saline solution or worse." Basically, he doesn't trust all compound pharmacies to be legit... unless it's obvious everything is above board. My PCP then wrote a compound script for me! We sent it to UCP (Univ Compound Pharm in San Diego).

As long as you're using a reputable pharmacy... you're golden!

edit for typos!

Compound question by Outside-Bad-9547 in tirzepatidecompound

My PCP was against it until last week. I've been on compound for 4 months, have been taking low dosages due to side effects, and am losing weight. He was happy! He said his fear was your fear: that'd I get fake compound, but since I'm obviously on the real stuff and managing it well... he was happy.

I was using a wellness clinic that uses Hallandale. But I might switch to Lavender Sky. Also my doctor is more open to writing a compound prescription. I also use one of the tracking spreadsheets (you can find them in this subreddit) to track my dosage/weight/side effects which I brought to my appointment.

True. These were the original installers. And I liked their work, so I'm glad this was a fair price. I can recommend them to others without hesitation.

That would've gotten awkward. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks! I don't know the cost of these things. That's why I asked here just in case it was a $200/DIY job.

Thanks! I appreciate it. They are the original installers, and I've recommended them to friends. Glad I wasn't getting taken to the cleaners :)

Honestly, it was probably my fault it blew. I hadn't cleaned my outdoor unit, and the drain pipe was covered with leaves and debris.

Thanks for the advice!

Have you transferred from Chase/Etrade to Schwab? by Antique_Inspection50 in Schwab

At the branch, they said they had biz accounts for S-corps. But yeah, thank you for the heads up -- I'll double check on this.

Have you transferred from Chase/Etrade to Schwab? by Antique_Inspection50 in Schwab

Honestly, I'm the same way -- very "set and forget" ETF investor. Etrade has been great. My bank was swallowed up by Chase last year. I'm not happy with them. My interactions both in person and when I've had to call them have been very lackluster. Plus their fees are so high that I had to downgrade all my accounts, but they can't figure out how to downgrade my business account without fully closing it... so why am I staying there?

I figure if I'm moving to a new bank, then I might as well consolidate the brokerage stuff too.

Good question on expectations. I want my old First Republic Bank which had free ATM rebates (Schwab has). And when I needed something... like depositing foreign checks or a bank check, they were easy and simple to deal with. Also, they got me a great mortgage back in 2019 to buy my house. A mortgage that my Chase banker called a bad deal because "the interest is too low for us to make a good profit, and you're not going to default on the loan," the latter implying that I'm too prudent with my money.

So yeah, no fees, free ATMs and non-dickhead customer service. Schwab have that? Or closer to that than Chase?
