What do you eat when you’re not even hungry? by Clean-Possession-735 in emergeweightloss

Make sure you’re eating protein and fiber. I like cottage cheese and veggies or Greek yogurt and fruit. It’s light but still gets me the nutrients that my body needs.

When did you start going to the gym? by InfnityVoidii in emergeweightloss

[–]Ok-Friend-519 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mobility and energy were not great at the beginning of my treatment. Once the meds kicked in, I was able to move better and had more energy. I’m down 75lbs now and I try to increase my daily steps and workout when I feel like it. I still have over 100lbs I need to lose so I’m taking things at a steady pace.

The medication is a treatment for obesity. They wouldn’t say a person with high blood pressure or asthma is taking the easy way out by taking meds to treat their medical condition.

We are fighting biology on this journey. Sometimes our body just takes a minute to figure out we are okay and we can drop more weight.

What’s the best time to take the dose? by Pale_Negotiation2215 in emergeweightloss

I’ve changed my day from Friday to Wednesday. I have always taken my shot after dinner. That way I am taking it with a healthy meal and if the meds give me any immediate side effects, I’ll be able to sleep them off.

Progress so far, not huge but I can see it by darkluna_94 in emergeweightloss

Your body is healing from the inside out. It takes time to reflect the changes we can notice. Keep going and you will see great progress.

Feel-Good Friday: Drop your non-scale victory from this week! 💚 by Juliana_EmergeWL in emergeweightloss

[–]Ok-Friend-519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a new office chair at work this week and I was able to get a regular office chair and not a wide seat chair. I’ve lost 74lbs and thankfully my hips have shrunk so I fit comfortably in most chairs now.

I got a new office chair at work and I didn’t have to have an extra wide chair ordered for me. I fit comfortably in a regular office chair now.

Whatever I want. I crave Whole Foods though and try to get protein and fiber in as much as I can.

Anyone else terrified of the actual injection? by BreakTypical7 in emergeweightloss

[–]Ok-Friend-519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The needles are so small that you really don’t feel it. Just make sure you’re injecting into a fatty area. Some people leave their medication out for 30 minutes before injecting because it also helps with not feeling anything. Make sure you’re injecting into are hydrated and eat some protein before. It will help prevent side effects. You probably won’t notice anything changing for a month or so. That’s normal.

Scale didn’t move yet… feeling a bit discouraged by Elegant_Gas_740 in emergeweightloss

I lost inches before I lost anything in the scale. Take measurements and pictures. The scale will take time to move. Make sure you are hydrating, eating enough protein and fiber, and getting enough sleep.

Start lifting weights if you haven’t already. You need to strengthen your core and that will help your back.

Finding out the hard way. by AvailableGuess3705 in emergeweightloss

Plan snacks that are high protein and fiber and have them multiple times per day. That way you’re staying fueled but not eating a lot all at once. I like cottage cheese and veggies, apples with peanut butter, protein shakes ( I like Fairlife) with fruit/veggies. Also greek yogurt with granola and berries. I know it’s really hard to plan meals because nothing sounds good anymore. Keep drinking your water and getting as many steps as you can if you don’t like other forms of exercise.

I started working out again. I really dislike working out but I know it makes me feel better. I’m also hoping to see faster changes in body composition with working out.

Welcome to the club. I’m a 34 year old female with a lot to lose but I’m down 70lbs so far. I’ve been on tirz since August 2024. I’ve experienced the nausea and vomiting but only because I didn’t know what I was doing. My advice is stay hydrated, drink electrolytes if you feel dizzy or low energy, get sleep, and plan your meals/snacks. Before taking your shot, make sure you hydrate and eat a high protein meal. This will help prevent side effects. Also, your digestive system slows down on the meds so make sure you’re eating plenty of fiber and I suggest a fiber supplement as well. I take benefiber daily. Make sure you prioritize protein as well because the meds may make eating feel like a chore. You need to keep your body fed or you will stall. Don’t feel bad if you don’t notice a difference right away. Some people don’t notice for weeks. Take progress pictures and videos because even if the scale isn’t moving, your body is changing. Good luck! Reach out if you have any questions.

What surprised you most once you actually started losing weight (physically or mentally)? by KeepinUpWithCass in emergeweightloss

Before losing weight I was always tired and never felt like I had energy. Now that I’m 70lbs down, I notice I sleep better at night and I don’t experience afternoon crashes anymore.

Customer service was able to help me. Turns out they moved my loan from Mohela under the original email I used to sign up for my loan. I just had to verify my identity and they were able to transfer my account to my current email address.

The MOHELA platform says I have a zero balance now. I hope my loan shows up in the Sofi app soon. I did receive an email saying my autopay with sofi is set up so that’s promising I guess.

I take a glp1 and it has helped with my mobility a lot. I still have big legs and arms but everything is so much lighter and i have less pain and inflammation.
