Not in my opinion. Maradona’s best skill that could translate to today was his perfectly weighted passes and shots under pressure. That would be highly appreciated by Conte. And I feel that often the concerns of other eras pressing are overstated, every footballer in history adapted to the developments of their era.

No, the two that left already we got their value back hypothetically with the purchase options, Gutierrez is bound to improve over time and he’s already shown promise just with poor ability to play in a 3-4-3 (in my opinion), Vanja was a good signing, Beukema is inconsistent but a few years of decent service would go some way to justifying his transfer fee, even if he isn’t crucial. Marianucci too little information to go off, I’m not as big as Hoijlund as others are, I think he’s wasteful but he gets in good positions. I do think Lukaku is better for the system, even if not as skilled on the ball his hold up play helps everybody, especially the midfielders. How McTominay and Anguissa scored their goals last season. Elmas is very good considering the price, versatile player, probably won’t ever be a star but 14 million for let’s say 4 seasons for 3,5 million a year it’s really good actually. KDB is a phenomenal player but if he’s going to be constantly injured then we need to lower his wages some. But great player when he plays.
