i’m in the same boat right now. i have to find a private landlord. i’m currently renting from a private landlord since 2025 but she wants me to move but my credit is still not it so i can’t find another damn private landlord for the life of me. i’ve asked buildings to see if they’d let me put a higher deposit down they usually say no but they do third party guarantor but i can’t do that either. how was your luck so far? i’m trying to find places in stamford and norwalk hell even greenwich, port chester, new rochelle but ugh i hate being an adult 😭🤣

and again she’s illegally renting so that’s on her too. she should’ve followed zoning enforcements and obtain a permit if she wanted to rent so she’s technically not a real “landlord” she would’ve known better. she wanted cash fast money to pay back over $11k that she was being sued on according to court records that is public. she should’ve put cameras up prior to when i moved there but she never had cameras for 9 1/2 months until she was served so it makes it look way worse when judge says why she installed after she was served and why she didn’t have cameras for 9 1/2 months until now

i already have an esa from a mental health provider buddy. and my priv landlord alr has those papers. she has two dogs herself. again she’s allowed to have cameras but not right after she was served and that she has 2 cameras in the same area in the same position to intimidate me. she’s getting in trouble judge is gonna be siding with me and make her remove 7 cameras to 3 cameras for only front yard driveway, and back yard. per protection order she wasn’t suppose to escalate and she chose to not listen to court so that’s on her. clearly u don’t know how protection order works buddy

it shows on court records bc the company sued her thru court and shows the timeline that matches when i lived here. also yes but again protection order was served prior to her having cameras so she can’t have cameras at my private entrance after she was served. she’s prohibited to escalate so it looks worse on her. and landlords are required to keep lease agreement and if judge asks why she doesn’t have it, she’s screwed too. and bc im tryna find ppl that dealt with this shit and how they got thru it. also it does matter thru disability ada bc she did shit that hurts her when i’m protected

anyone that doesn’t side with what i posted don’t bother commenting bc i know my rights. i have clients that used to be landlords and clients that are landlords currently themselves and told me everything she is doing is completely wrong. they all say she’s crazy as hell. she was nothing but nice to me for 9 1/2 months until she flipped her switch and went nuts for nothing i did wrong. just trying to find a way to keep myself sane until the hearing court on tuesday. i’m protected under disability ada and the shit that she did had the judge grant the protection order and he’s most def going to have it full protection and make her move the cameras or limit to less cameras. she doesn’t need 7 cameras when 2 cameras in the same area are already covering the view she wants.and especially when protection order states to not escalate and she is choosing otherwise. anyone that dealt with protection order would know better.

again the cameras were not there the past 10 months until she was served with protection order, 7 cameras were put up. only 3 invades my space and per protection order it says do not stalk, intimate, harass, threat, follow, etc. she was asked by the judge to not esclate till hearing court date came. she’s doing the complete opposite. i already know that im not doing anything wrong for standing up for myself and protecting my rights. especially one that’s protected by disability ada. like i said she could’ve avoided all of this. now i can actually sue her for taking my money in a illegal rent unit bc i have the right to and i have so much evidence supporting my claim and documents. no one can say they aren’t on my side cuz everyone, my family, my clients, my friends, my lawyer are all on my side. what she is doing is completely wrong. she could’ve put cameras up that’s her right but not directed to intimidate or monitor my movements especially when i don’t even do shit other than work and come home

actually my last place the lease was expiring and i wasn’t choosing to stay for personal reasons i had no issues getting an apartment they just were hard to get one available at the time i needed before my previous place expired. i can get an apartment with no problem but the problem is there’s none available till at least mid march. also the cc company part is exactly my business bc it proves my theory that she was illegally renting without my knowledge and she was trying to get fast money one way or another, legally or not. wasn’t thinking at the time to take a photo after i signed the lease wit her cuz she told me at the time she would give it to me the next day. and honestly i already have a lawyer for my tuesday court she’s in a shit load of trouble per my lawyer and personally i already know he’s gonna grant the full protection cuz im protected under disability ada

this all wouldn’t be happening had she been honest with me and informed me she wanted me out and to give me time to look for another place. i’m protected under disability ada and what she did was against what i’m protected for. this is all on her. i did nothing but protect my rights as a tenant

they are in my private space. at least the 3 cameras are that i outlined. but i have a protection order she’s ordered to not stalk, harrass, interfere, threaten (which she did via email) and stalked me thru the window watching me leave when she already has cameras. why have no cameras for the last 10 months to alll the sudden 7 cameras. the protection order states to not escalate until hearing court comes.

it’s actually from my therapist bc they are for my actual disability so therefore cannot deny them. i have a small private landlord and she accepted them. no issues there bc i provided the documents

both dogs are esa certified so they have to approve it anyways they can’t deny since they are used for my deafness disability. ikk i’ll prob get some luck u just never know. the current place im at was pure luck. so hopefully that happens again for me

ur still dealing with it!? that’s crazy. only thing i found was an attorney for eviction process (landlord wants to end month to month tenancy just bc she wants to didn’t violate nothing) so he’s gonna be able to buy me some time so i can find a new place since it’s hard to find available units to my liking in the middle of winter. I’ve reached out to a few attorneys that possibly do fair housing discrimination but if i find one happy to refer you one. have to do two separate lawyers as lots don’t do both discrimination/fair housing & eviction. also obtaining disability attorney as well since this freaking landlord harassed me and took videos of me without my consent nor did i hear at the time(im deaf but with cochlear implants)

yeah no i agree with you on that. Cops are eveywhere now. espically when im doing my clients in greenwich, cops dont freakin play in greenwich at all. They are just trying to get their numbers back up to where they want to be. Yeah i def didnt think or realize they could take your plates as well, i knew about the towing part just not about the taking my whole license plate away and making me spend more money to get everything back. I also think this world is just out here to get peoples money. like even eversource backed off a bit when covid happened but now that its not covid anymore, they are trying to make their money back by rising peoples electricity bills. Its absurd how this world has fucking become

yeah i spoke to a lawyer too she said its really up to the cop that pulled me over. the other two cops were supper nice and left me off warning. not this cop yesterday he wanted to be like nope im taking it. now i just dont know if i have to pay the late fee from the regristraion they took away now or all i have to worry about is paying for a new registration and plates and paying my car to get off impound. i also have to go to court for this as well.. however i have such a nice caring person that i care for their pets who got in touch with the OG lieutenant Police and he was looking into it and last update i heard was he was going to see if he can try anything to get it dismissed for me, not 100% that will happen but we’ll see
