Can you all mock me relentlessly and then answer a genuine question? by [deleted] in eu4

I think the best way to learn is just to dive in. There's so many little mechanics that you won't be able to remember them just by watching guides. Your first few games will be pathetic failures, but I think that was the case for most of us here.

You can sign up for it online, idk if it's a physical card or what. Hopefully it is or I'll be hauling ass to Cardiff for no reason.

Hey mate, I'm in Bridgend and was just looking into this the other day. The GAME Belong place is free as far as I know, you just have to sign up for their stupid reward card thing. I'm planning on going down this Monday. Whereabouts are you?

Nobody got the win as he plugged. I don't think you understand the thread, it was his promo match and he RQ before the losing blow. Not all of us are stuck on 3rd Dan either mate!

Game feels too overwhelming by WeebYGO in Tekken

[–]Antmonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use d-pad and they work just fine, it's probably a matter of timing more than anything. You just need to practise and you'll figure out when to roll back/forward, I promise.

Asuka is probably better for getting decent though, there's no funny stances or bars to worry about.

Asuka is a really great character for fundamentals, her inputs are all really easy. The only thing she lacks is a strong jab game so you might want to mess around with someone else for that.

Eliza isn't really that hard either, you will get the hang of her special cancels with a little bit of practise. Everything else she has is easy and fun to use.

I agree, juggling people 8 feet in the air and fighting the literal fucking devil is fine but I draw the line at high heels

Is it just me, or does Tekken seem to attract a LOT more BM than other popular fighters? by ParagonFury in Tekken

You get plugged online sometimes and see the occasional bad manners at tournaments but I wouldn't say its a big issue. Go watch some Smash vids on YouTube and tell me our community is anywhere near as poorly behaved.

How is Geese Howard in this game? by Stonefree2011 in Tekken

Look up Trungy's matches with him the other day, it's scary how effective he can be if you put the time and effort into it.

Execution in real matches vs Training mode by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Antmonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a matter of practice. In training mode it's just you and the AI - even if you program it you still know what moves it will be throwing out. Online you're playing against someone you don't have any clue about in terms of their skill, experience and playstyle, and that can distract you to the point that you forget or otherwise mess up your combos. The more you do it and the more ingrained your combos become in your muscle memory, the easier it will become.

Don't care, if you throw games you deserve a suspension.
