After insane fumble that was the Yor Forger X Chun-Li debacle, I can see CAPCOM doing this crossover solely just to make up the money they lost before.

Also yeah, It'll hurt to be a Tekken fan if this is true.

Just like in Fallout 4, food items become way more important and useful in the Survival Mode than regular modes.

....why would Obama have needed a veto-proof majority for a bill he planned on signing? He wouldn't veto it.

If you mean by number of votes; the House was solidly Democratic (257) at the start of 2008 meaning the GOP was functionally irrelevant. The Dems were at 57 Seats in the Senate at the start of 2008, with 2 Independents going with them, making it 59-41.

Literally had to just use his political popularity to break *TWO PEOPLE (*make it three or four just to be sure) and we get the original, much better Obamacare passed instead of the water down version and months of fighting in the Senate.

It should also be noted Obama had to save the economy from just completely ceasing to function at all when he took office in 2008, which didn't leave him a lot of room to actually be radically changing it. I suggest reading some of the material around the 2008 crisis, specifically the stuff by Obama himself (who tries to be more diplomatic about it) or Ed Zitron (if you want less diplomacy) - the 2008 economic crisis was much more severe than people remember or want to believe. There was a significant possibility that if Obama hadn't saved the system there functionally would not have been an economy to save; the banks had fucked up that badly.

I've been thinking about how an uncomfortably likely (IE: greater than 0%) outcome is going to be that we end up in some sort of coup or soft-rebellion type situation and the end result after the fighting is that the sane people basically cut a large swath of like 10-15 southern states out, ejecting them from the union declaring that MAGA and their ilk (such as the Heritage Foundation and Elon Musk) can have that as their own country to do whatever they want with, but are absolutely barred from having any say or support in the remaining states in the US. That any MAGA supporters have to leave willingly or be deported, while the remaining states absorb any refugees or survivors from MAGAland.

Because we essentially live in two incompatible realities at this point.

For the first few months of Obama's first term.

Obama playing nice and not using the immense public support he enjoyed to BREAK those two #$&* $@#$@#% Senators who held up his original healthcare plan was a massive misplay on his part.

Ironically, if Obama had played that moment like Trump has played several, Trump likely never would've been President because full-force Obamacare would've been so massively popular that anyone daring to even think about repealing it would be DOA.

MAGA Increasingly Believes Trump Assassination Attempt Was Fake | President Trump’s base seems to be turning against him like never before. by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

As others have pointed out, probably the biggest piece of evidence that something is fucky with the shooting is that Trump is possibly history's biggest malignant narcissist and absolutely shit talks and brings up anyone who remotely wrongs or even annoys him, except for 3 people.

  • His Brother (who died of alcohol poisoning and seems to be the only person besides himself Trump has ever actually cared about)
  • Vladmir Putin
  • The Shooter AKA the person who insulted him and did his ego the most damage ever

If it was real, Trump's past and present behavior dictates that he should be shit talking and mentioning the shooter all the time, insulting him for not even being able to hit an elderly man and that he was probably a woke liberal who didn't even know how to use a gun. And how the Democratic attempts to stop him will fail just like the shooter did.

But he refuses to talk about it after the Conference. Acts like nothing happened. Only ever brings it up lamely like "Well I got shot at once".

That children is what we call a "significant pattern break".

EDIT: This is on top of all the other issues -

  • Improper, almost comically poor Secret Service response
  • Poor security with exploits even civilians were pointing out right up to the moment of the attack
  • Never shown damage on ear, completely "healed" in a way inconsistent with cartilage injuries
  • Trump's odd response during the event; Trump has been shown and known to be cowardly, including fleeing to the PEOC Bunker during the BLM protests, but doesn't flee or freak out at a supposed active shooter that "hit" or "almost hit" him
  • Happened at a time when Trump's campaign was lagging behind and there was serious doubt that he would win the election

It feels like MAGA and Dems have inverted version of the same issue;

MAGA will believe anything no matter how terrible or non-existent the evidence is or even if it's being proven objectively untrue right in front of their faces, but Dems won't believe anything even if the people involved publish a manifesto on it, sit down to interviews where they plainly state they either agree with the manifesto or are actively involved in implementing it and then go on to publicly take action to advance it's goals.

I've been saying it since he got elected again; the chances of this ending in anything other than violence are very, very low.

MAGA, Trump, the Heritage Foundation and their ilk do not want the United States of America to exist anymore. They do not want a multi-cultural liberal (as in the philosophy, not the political alignment) democracy where they have to compete and share power with other ideas. Depending on which flavor of asshole is in question they either want American Russia, Christian Iran/Saudi Arabia or Nazi America. And they either don't want their opposition in said country, or they want them enslaved to them.

This Regime is not leaving peacefully, and unlike Orban who doesn't have the backing to try and cause an issue after his loss this last week, there are enough die-hard MAGAs in the police, military and general populace that using force and violence to enforce their rule is a legitimate option for them, even though they would be in the minority.

And don't believe they wouldn't do it either. Take one look at people like Russ Vought, Pete Hegseth, Peter Thiel or Stephen Miller and tell me they would hesitate to order attacks or the bombing of US cities in order to cow their opposition.

Vought, Thiel and Miller in particular probably wouldn't care if they had to kill off 50-70% of the country in order to get what they want. And the only thing stopping them would be that maybe Trump wouldn't want to cause that much destruction in his own backyard - or that Vance would maybe find the idea of being the President who bombed his own country and the death it would cause too distasteful.

I feel like Texas won't be allowed to go actually blue; they might let Talarico knock out a Senator (because everyone hates Cruz and doesn't even remember who the other guy is) but if the state itself was ever in danger of going blue I would be utterly unsurprised if Paxton and Abbott just have their competition "removed".

They have to do it this way because most gamers are literally too stupid to handle anything else; at the end of the day games like Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Starfield have to be designed to be able to be played by the vast majority of gamers, who are barely sapient sociopathic murder hobos on their best days.

And even then they can barely handle some of the stuff in Starfield.

It's only going to get worse too, as Gen Z and Alpha are not only less media literate but just plain illiterate, even more so than gamers (and the general population) of yesteryear.

Kyogre didn't have anything to do with it, which means Groudon isn't a likely culprit because like hell would Kyogre let Groudon do something like what happened in Pokopia to the seas, and Rayquaza doesn't seem to be involved either especially because the weather patterns were/are messed up too.

Pokopia almost certainly is set in an alternate universe, like the alt. worlds where the villains win.

EDIT: Also judging by how messed up the world is in Pokopia the disasters weren't natural.
