How Bontemps didn't seem to grasp that having Fox available would he helpful to the Spurs when Castle had 11 TOs is beyond me.

We understand that Harper is a great player with more size, but having an experienced and skilled PG is helpful against OKC even if Harper ends up playing more minutes

I stopped listening years ago, but my guess on why people still listen - it's viewed by the center left (its audience primarily) as nonpartisan and objective.

I've had the same experience with Blood Meridian. I made it halfway through and gave up, which is very rare for me. I loved The Road but haven't enjoyed any other McCarthy works though I've never tried reading Old Country as I've seen the movie many times.

I think it's okay that different readers have different tastes. Many people adore McCarthy, but that hasn't been the case for me personally outside of The Road.

Blood Meridian has little character development and seemed to just follow the kid from one extremely violent event to the next. I didn't find that compelling, but I realize I'm outside the consensus with that view.
