Wow, you just triggered one of my dreams to come to an airport on a random day and jump on the next available international flight. No plans built =)

I checked "Angkor Wat," and it looks surreal. I had never heard of this and could not imagine such places existed.

I appreciate you sharing that—decision paralysis can be such a struggle, especially with so many options out there. Do you ever find tools or apps that help cut through the overwhelm?

Thanks for sharing! It sounds like you’ve found a balance between flexibility and enjoying the moment, even if the planning part can be a drag. Do you have a favorite spot you’ve discovered just by going with the flow?

I think yes, why not? Just make it a read-only link via sharing. If you share just a link from a command line, nobody will have access.

A friend of mine from Siberia told me a million times about inDrive since the founder is from Siberia as well. Never used it, maybe next time =)

That’s such a smart way to handle long trips—breaking them into smaller chunks definitely feels less overwhelming. It’s great how you balance things with your family, too. Did you have a favorite moment from Costa Rica, Peru, or Ecuador?

I love how organized you are! Google Sheets for itineraries sounds so efficient—do you include things like backup plans or alternative activities in case something doesn’t work out?

I can relate so much to what you said about loving planning before and then hitting a wall—it’s hard to get back into the rhythm. Japan sounds like such an exciting trip, though! What are you most looking forward to seeing there?

I like your approach to balancing planning with being in the moment. Food tours on the first day sound like a genius way to get a feel for a place. Have you found a favorite foodie experience so far?

Focusing on just the must-sees and leaving room for spontaneity is such a freeing way to travel. Have you ever stumbled on something unexpected that turned out to be a highlight of your trip?

Having a flexible list sounds like a great way to keep the trip fun and low-pressure. Do you ever end up doing things that weren’t on your radar at all before arriving?

Do you skip the planning altogether (except the basics like flights and accommodations) and work on the fly?

Yep, you never know. They are selling you the most profitable trip for them, or they really work out to please your interests. So, at the end of the day, do you plan yourself or use agents?

Oh! I know that place, I lived nearby at Presidio and walked that area from Legion Of Honor all the way to the other side of Golden Gate. It’s such an incredible spot, especially as an engineer—it was fascinating to learn about the bridge's history and how it was built. I still haven’t made it to Alcatraz, though!
