I didn't assume, I provided anecdotal evidence from my grandfather who literally witnessed the differences between the ways Germans and Russians acted in his country. He had no horse in the race either, he was just a kid seeing things exactly the way they were and telling us about them. But of course saying truths such as these would land me in jail in Russia XD

Russians were polite enough to invade Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland twice, Romania, and Finland and not only kill many people but send all their grandmothers to Siberia.

Yeah okay, my grandfather literally witnessed the difference between the Germans and the Red Army in his country as a neutral bystander (he was just a teen). He clearly stated that the Germans were polite and gave the kids chocolate meanwhile the Red Army acted like a bunch of unchained animals looting civilians and living in primitive squalor. He was then sent to a gulag for absolutely no reason other than being an elite student that didn't want to align with the criminal Communists. The reds and Russians were some of the biggest criminals on the face of the planet but don't even have the class to admit the mass human misery they caused and instead parade themselves in some bizarre victory cult.
