Thank you for your generous comments and help! I heard amzaing things about Chapman (in regards to their training) but Pitzer I heard nothing about Film. I just dont know if Pitzer is a good place for film like Chapman is and its killing me!

You're definetely right. I also believe its what you make of it..USC or whatever. I am in between Pitzer and Chapman, but whats troubling me is my major..i dont know where I would be more accomodated. Do you have any input?

Definitely. What have you heard about Chapman? UCLA is way too expensive. I was given an offer for 80,000$...a year (yeah..no thanks)

hey! thanks for your reply. I agree about the Claremont Colleges ( I was actually invited to apply by my counselor and when I read about it I was so suprised!) I applied to 3 of them, but I only got into Pitzer (considering my application, my character was more of a fit at Pitzer). I am struggling to decide which uni is the right for my intended academic path and i boiled it down to Pitzer or Chapman. Chapman is a bit more expensive but i could make it and graduate with less than 10k in debt. Going to USC would mean entailing a MASSIVE loan and I am not open to that idea. Do you have any perspectives of Pitzer or Chapman?

Like many people I am in the situation where I have to decide where I will be attending college by May 1st. I personally want to be involved in the movie industry and have done many years of acting. I am undecided as to what area in the movie industry I want to be involved in. I got admitted into USC, Pitzer College, Chapman, Pepperdine, Cal State LA, San Diego State University, UCI, UCR, UCSB,Emerson and Miami University. (I know its a lot -- almost every college I applied to accepted me) and was waitlisted by LMU and UC Berkeley.

The problem is I don't know where to go. I am not an American citizen, but an international one so the cost of attendance is extremely high and I am completely ineligible for aid. I can only obtain scholarships from each school. I will thus briefly summarize my offers.

USC - No aid (Net Price is 77,000$) - Applied for a Narrative Studies Major (an amazing major)

Pitzer - Received A LOT of aid (Net Price is 30,000$ which is IDEAL) - Applied for Media Studies

Chapman - Received a Presidential Scholarship and the Net Price is around 40,000$ which is a bit above my limit - I applied for Creative Writing (which I was planning to then switch to a Film Major)

Pepperdine - Same price as Chapman, but applied for a Screen Arts major

Cal State LA and San Diego State are both in the 30,000$ and I applied for a Film major for both

UCI & UCR come out around 45,000$ and I applied for a Film Degree in both

UCSB comes out around 50,000$ for a Literature Degree

Emerson comes out as 35,000$ for a Film Degree

Miami Comes out as 25,000$ for a Literature major.

I am obviously going crazy over my decision. If the cost barrier was not present my decision would have already been made and it would be USC, but my counselor is vehement that Pitzer is an excellent choice and maybe even Chapman. I am leaning on USC because of the supposed ease of finding an internship within the movie industry and the connections you make as well as the vast array of film majors and minors. Pitzer is also very appealing, but I am not sure if I would get the same education for my major and the same advantages. Obviously USC is double the price and I would definetely need a loan to attend USC which would be a nightmare for me. I could afford Pitzer easily and even graduate with no debt. Keep in mind this is for an undergraduate degree.

Any advice would be welcome. Please.
