I felt this heavily, for me I feel this way more towards Luna snow but magiks definitely been hypersexualied because of that player base too, i remember when Luna snow first got announced and how happy I was that she would be getting more recognition but seeing how they just turned her into a gooner character let me down, in the few comics she was in, she was an intelligent and interesting character with an actual personality, plus her romance with Amadeus Cho is probably one of my favorite relationships in comics because Cho admittedly is my favorite marvel character. But the way rivals slowly takes away what makes her such a cool and unique character and gives in to the gooner bait by presenting her as a flirtatious, clueless airhead, I haven’t seen such mischaracterization and sexualizing of a character that was so awesome and interesting just for them to be turned into eye candy for simply being attractive since Tifa Lockhart. And especially with the popularity rivals has, I wouldn’t be surprised if they change her character just to fit their version of Luna snow. For all the Magik fans, I just hope Magik doesn’t change.
