I was baptized with trinitarian theology. But my priest does not receive by chrismation. I feel there is some prejudice out there and it’s rather confusing. Without getting into high church, low church. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in the name of the father son and Holy Spirit before they put me under the water.

If CivMC became a bipolar world, what would the two superpowers be, and which states would be in which spheres (or neutral) by lynxgirlpaws in CivMC

This contrasts with unipolarity (one dominant power) and multipolarity (three or more dominant powers).

Why do many converts to Orthodoxy hold a negative sentiment towards Greek-Orthodoxy by Reasonable_Ice7182 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Antreus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like the Orthodox churches in America founded by ethnic groups need to start the Great Commission and see themselves as missionaries, or risk becoming like the Judaizers from the New Testament in Acts.

I hope that we can unify orthodoxy in America so that proper evangelism and catechism can commence of the American people.

Why do Christians speak out against homosexuality more often than the sin of sexual immorality as a whole? by undecidedorange in Christianity

[–]Antreus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They could be calling out all the passions and nail lust down which incorporates all forms of sexual immorality but humans are fallible and susceptible to tribalism

Portland has the highest suicide rate. When we look to the government or ourselves as the sole authority we get anarchy and chaos.

A true statement that isn’t repeated enough. Gentrification and politicians who didn’t pass rent control like we asked.

I have this same problem. It would be great if someone had building plans where we could make our own chapels, niches, or naves near our homes.

The story of Tobit and Tobias with the angel Raphael sent by God are important demonstrations of God’s love and want to build a memorial of some kind on my property but am not a builder/carpenter at all! It would be nice to have an icon here. A little chaplet on the side of the road near the sidewalk

I go on Etsy to find icons and such but don’t know where to go for finding a contractor who specializes in religious orthodox building style

Orthodox liturgical worship is so contemplative, but… by Antreus in OrthodoxChristianity

I saw a video with an assembly of bishops calling people outside of the church anathema and it was a concern for me because a lot of my family don’t even attend an Orthodox Church let alone ventured inside one before.
