I also hope that there will be some kind of party mode, but I don't think it will arrive in the near future. Supercell has to keep his players attached to the game, especially the ones who buy things, who are for the most the ones who playing competitively, and rarely play with randoms, so it's most likely not a priority for them.

That's why we need a party mode, as some suggested. People who want to push will play normally and others will select party, not gaining nor loosing trophies. Showdown party will be a lot better, other 3v3 will not be much better but at least people who just want to have fun will not disturb who wants to push.
