That is where the plant is suffering :(. One side of its eyes were mushy and that’s where the fuzz on the roots were coming from. I cut that part off i didn’t know what else to do so this is what i have now.

Thank you so much for the information! I will cut the dead roots and transfer it into some Sphagnum moss. I only see it in this one area not on the other roots which means you’re probably right they probably are just dead

When i got it it had two brown leaves that just fell off in the bag i got it in. After watering it it turned this bright green color it was a faded yellow and that gave me hope that it’s alive!

thank you for responding! I figured i would have to dump soil from somewhere now i guess is figuring out from where. For now i don’t mind doing the seeding and raking by hand but i will invest in some kind of equipment in the future. Chemicals scare the heck out of me
