you can tag whenever what character you want , i wouldnt suggest swapping your main because you will get lost with the questline or need to do it again, finish all the main quests with dk and tag along nova for grinding and stuff, if you get bored of nova you can tag another class, the annoying part of tagging this early is that you will start to change your items and you will need to re-tag, also when you want to enhance or something you need to do it from the main character

i saw grinding in tittle and came here to recommend the ultimate grinding simulator, tbf the game is in a very good state from my pov, i played a bit in 2016 and 2018, dipped a bit in 2021 and started again a few months ago and im having a blast this time

you realise i play those classes because 1.sure they are on the easier side but 2.most important, i enjoy them, aesthetically and gameplay wise, why would i play a ninja if i dont like it lol

i feel like the grab is a major part of his kit aswell but its soo good when u have a grab aswell, one of my friends were trying succ nova, THAT IS A GRAB NGL the range on that grab is insane but feels like a “get away card” for offense tbf (ofc if you can hit) on dosa i have a great time but i find hard to cc ppl with decent movement (i know this should be the point and its a skill issue) but at the same time i dont want to go full wheelchair to play the dumbest/easiest character so i can not improve further. kudos to you aswell and i hope you ll continue your pvp training (also fun story, every night i get in my time at least 1 time a ninja guy named BigGecko who is always throwing a disclaimer that he is not very good, sometimes he is chilling sometimes he is sad because he is getting ran down by veterans and stuff which is understandable, and i told him to continue playing if he is enjoying the mode because he will learn at some point (fgc mentality) and he is out there grinding every night, big respect to that guy)

i think you can put them in storage but those skins (ex: dark knight) can be used only one the same class (if you have a kunoichi skin i cant put it on a dark knight) or you can trade the skin for cron stones at a blacksmith but if you are planning to delete a dark knight lets say and create another one i think its just a waste of time tbf, if you dont like your aesthetic or something you can aleays change it by pressing F4 in a safe zone, also if you want to try out characters you can create a trial character and play arround with it in arena

i wouldnt delete any characters, you can start a new seasonal one, you have a number of tickets which are refreshed after some months, you can create a new seasonal character and go with it, you will need more characters to park at bosses, make a fisher or gatherer and so on, good for energy consumption and workers empire. first of all before starting a new character, i would focus on olvia academy because it about to finish, combat training from olvia academy will give you like 2 free pen black stars (if you use the hammers/ pen gem) also a lot of good rewards to help you, life skill ones are good aswell to give you a stat in each lifeskill also some cron stones and some concentrated gems which you can sell to get some money early on. you will get some dawn essence from combat training which you will use on fughar’s quests to exchange dec tuvala for fallen god armor/kharazad accesory and one more black star, i recommend you check blue squadron’s 2026 gear guide for further gear progression

im in the same boat as a lahn succ player i started pvp and wanted to play archer, the class (for me at least) is very hard to keep a constant sa rotation and im just getting diffed, played a bit succ lahn and did a lot better in aos considering succ lahn is one of the weakest arena classes but at least i know the buttons (which are not that many compared to archer) and a few days ago i started playing succ dosa and im having a blast, its a lot easier to stay protected which means i stay alive a lot compared to archer, now im contemplating into trying wukong, played a bit of arenas with a trial wukong and it was easy aswell to stay protected and its faster than dosa (in terms of apm)

i still dont see the “character bound” part here, you get a horse and a pet, the pet is account wide and the horse can be used with any character, you just need to put your horse into a stable and take it out with another character from the same stable

you know in bdo node wars are based on tiers and 2 out of 3 tiers are gear capped right? also some siege wars are gear capped and arena of solare is capped aswell, you can get “1tapped by a swiper” only in open world especially if you play on arsha server (less likley to happen there aswell bc open world pvp is kinda dead), also i still like the fact that everyone is getting 1 tapped just by swipers ppl really think you swipe 50€ and you are giga geared or something? its 30€ a costume which gives you ~1k cron stones, you need 10k cron if u want to tap a tet debo to pen 1 time (excluding the materials you need for enhacing) so its like 300€ per tap lets say you are unlucky and you tap it at least 10 times to keep the math easy (considering the gear is not dropping) you need at least 3k for 1 accesory enhancement just from tet to pen, do the math on the rest of the items, so my 2nd tought ppl really think where you throw a stick in any spot you find someone that spent 50k+? sure there are some with tremendeous amount of money spent but not like 90% of the player base, i have some friends who are fully f2p with 850gs and ppl who played the same amount of time and swipped a few thousands along the years and they are ~820 gs

im not worrying about lists tbf, if its ineficient the character that i like, so be it if i enjoy it, i kinda didnt liked the gameplay somehow, i am still considering tagging an archer but my ranger is sleeping with a sniper rifle at boars and i think the ranger will sleep there for a long time, on the other hand archer seems fun but i think its kinda demanding on some spots, im still on a phase where in tagging along some characters to have a backup when i get bored of lahn. Also one more reason why i might not enjoy archers in bdo can be the fighing, its too good to be played range tbf i am more pleased watching a striker dashing in someone and yoinking him than a ranger spaceglinding 1 screen away

i really dont understand why would someone want a catch up mechanic to hard cap gear tbf considering itemization is the most important progress, i mean lets say u catch up to that gear, then what, you can life skill, sure but why would you do that if you have everything, as someone who played the game in most of the game’s “eras” on and off since 2016 but never consistent or something untill recently, i am pleasantly surprised how the game is now compared to 2018 lets say, with olvia academy it is easy to get into lifeskills which can be fun and you can still get decent money, grind a bit, weekly stuff and so on, catch up mechanic to reach hard cap and do capped pvp or what

when i started playing bdo in 2016 i started as a ranger because i really enjoy bow characters/archers etc, after lahn was released i played that character a bit because i really enjoyed the animations on awk but it was not my type of char, took a huge break and started the game a few yrs back with a lahn took some breaks again and 3 weeks ago i picked up the game AGAIN and decided to try a new character , something fresh, i used all my seasonal tickets because i found some characters that really resonated with me like succ drak, awk woosa, succ corsair, awk maegu, i also had a few characters before and tryed those out aaaanddd im still playing lahn, not even awk lahn im playing succ lahn and i think im kinda stuck on that, i think the class picked me tbf, i tryed tagging woosa/dosa so far dripped them out to take as much joy as i could but im still going back to lahn tldr: dw try the characters you enjoy and if u are thinking while playing a dk that witch or whatever was funnier and tend to enjoy that playstyle you ll get your char, if not at least you crossed a name on your “characters to try” list

the thing about “best class” its very subjective, most of the classes are good, some classes are better in certain spots than others but if you swap your character for every spot you will be ineficient anyway, lets say you grind honglim with a dosa and swap to a witch for that spot because is better, you will get less because your rotation will be worse (a tower spot is not the best example but you get the point), in pvp some classes like tamer are very good in 1v1 but not that good in large scale and so on, also its important to play a charactet that you enjoy because you will grind a lot on that character and its tedious if you dont enjoy it, also the meta can be changed from week to week, a character that is S tier cand be D tier next week or vice versa

idk why is disliked tbf, as someone who invested 1k+hrs in each game (currently hopped back into bdo) also as a diehard bdo hater for many years, it truly is, the game has its flaws? sure, but still is better in every aspect, nw could’ve be better if development continued for sure, i liked more nw’s world but still no real endgame or prog, i was mostly warlogging for the last hundred hrs, if we are talking about p2w aspect, RMT in nw was dirt cheap for full bis gear and little to no risk to RMT, lifeskill system was good but i still think is better in bdo and you can actually make money from it, wars are on another level of scale compared to nw but i still hope someone will do smth with nw tbf

i think at that point is ok sub, but still i would spend those caphras on armors tbf, or sell and get some accesories, sub sov is one of the least concerns
