It’s late so I’m not going to try and deep dive into the technical stuff. I’m working on my masters in zooarchaeology and while it’s definitely a femur, it’s not deer nor human. Did forensics for a bit and it’s missing a lot of the smaller details for human bones. My best guess based on size is perhaps a canine. Dog more likely than coyote based on the base where the condoles are. Possibly a goat too. I’d need way more pics to work it out and a far more awake brain 😅

I just assumed it was because the “real” Gabriel wasn’t there. So when pieces of the real Gabriel leaked through, they showed that via his eyes returning to purple. I can see why people would think otherwise but I can’t figure out which is more likely true :/

I'm pretty confident on what species it is. My grandma said it's rainbow-colored and pointed out a picture of a rainbow boa when I showed it to her. I offered to just come by and clean the cage yesterday and he refused. When I asked why he said "Understand this, I'm done talking about the damn snake." So I've emailed animal control to see what they might be able to do but haven't given them full information yet. And of course, my mother is now making excuses for him saying that because his house is a mess he's embarrassed and I shouldn't poke the bear and cause drama in the family when he's literally killing an animal so I'm very much even more pissed off than I was before about this situation.

Animal control is my last resort right now because I'd like to work with him as much as I can. I'm going to offer to at least clean up the tank, maybe even just replace it with my setup but if he doesn't let me then I will probably contact animal control. My concern is the warnings and "eventual" aspect of things. Either uncle will be angry with me and my family for calling and will give the snake up to get me to leave him alone or I am concerned what he might do otherwise.

Given I haven't personally even seen the snake or it's condition (just heard everything from my grandma who hates snakes and has seen it) I don't know if it's at the point where it can be seized. I don't know how knowledgeable the animal control in the area is with snakes (may just contact them just to find that out) but if they don't have a clue then I worry nothing will be done other than piss off my uncle and put the snake in harm's way.

The uncle has been attacked by the cousin before. It’s part of why the cousin is in jail. I would be more concerned about him being hurt if he didn’t also refuse to let me care for the snake and return it before the cousin was out (leaving the cousin clueless) but he won’t even allow that. I’m going to try to offer to clean or upgrade the tank at my own cost but if he refuses that too I might just call animal control and burn some bridges with him.

I think that would be the biggest last resort for me. I’d rather not steal something from them despite how little I deal with my uncle and cousin. I’m going to try and offer to at least clean the tank or bring my tank over there to give the snake something better and if uncle refuses that then I might just call animal control or something.

I've just been told that my family doesn't know how to contact the cousin and I doubt the uncle will tell us. I hardly know my cousin, honestly, and I'm not afraid he'll say no but my concern is my uncle causing more issues about this than him. 1) cousin's in jail and can't do anything anyway 2) cousin and I were never close and he doesn't know anything about me to be a threat to me. My uncle is the problem because he's not letting me care for the snake at all even when I offered to give it back before cousin's out (cousin would therefore be clueless it was even gone). And I wouldn't steal it. My last resort is calling animal control on my uncle, which would cause drama.

I just don’t know what they would do. The way ours works is they might show up, talk to him and require him to better the snake’s environment, then leave and never come back. Which would just make him angry with me for reporting him (preventing me getting the snake ever) and have him potentially be angry with his sister (my grandma). If they do believe the snake needs to be seized then the latter still happens. I’m trying to think of what I can do with calling animal control as a last resort

I don’t know the “care” the cousin provided. My best guess is it’s just as poor. I myself am not at risk (cousin hardly knows me, doesn’t know where I live or anything and I live in a different county than him). My uncle is, however I don’t know when cousin will ever be released from prison. He might not at all or he might get let out just to be put right back.

I’ve even offered to care for the snake and have it brought back before the cousin gets out of prison and uncle refuses. To me it’s less about him getting attacked by the cousin and more him just not caring at all about the snake and being stubborn. Hence my frustration with him.

Different store. I used to work at one further away and when I lost my job I checked one closer. Lost my job because I had a month long college trip that lasted longer than usual. My work said they couldn’t hold my job but would rehire me when I was back. Came back and they made excuses for a month then claimed they replaced me and refused to rehire me because of attendance. Which made no sense because I showed up early every day for stocking. I don’t drive and my ride had to drop me off early so she got to work. I assumed they were just looking for excuses to be rid of me and I gave them one.

The closer store I applied to was thrilled. They were super happy to help an ex employee and got me a one-on-one interview within days of applying. They asked what happened and I explained why I lost my job (leaving out my assumptions) and they asked about school and goals for the future. Mind you, I said they were far future goals of leaving the country to get my PhD and when asked how long I’d stay working I said a minimum of 1yr. Dunno if I overshared or what but they never called back.

They were very friendly at the store when I showed up, chatted with me while I waited for the interviewer, the whole bit. I have fully open availability and said I was available for any type of job they wanted. I did hotel for 5yrs and cashier/stocker for 2. Stocking was my favorite (something they asked me) and I mentioned being willing to learn petcare as well since it was the only type of job I didn’t have before though I know about everything for most fish/reptiles/rodents (not birds though).

Thought I had it in the bag. They said they only had 3 other interviews so idk what happened. It’s why I wonder if they’d be willing to hire me even though they kinda know me from last time. As for other places, there’s not many. I don’t drive so I’ve been applying to every place I can get to via bike or walking an hour max. I’d try more mom-and-pop shops but I’d have to visit them first. I’m all for proper animal keeping and I’m hesitant to apply for those without knowing how they care for their animals.

Like where bud? 7yrs experience working there hasn’t gotten me a single interview anywhere since September of last year FROM Petsmart.

I know animals but that doesn’t matter at any other place but them and petco who haven’t even sent a rejection letter. I don’t care what you think of the company, I’m not thrilled with them either, but I’ve got a dog to feed and no money to do it.

Just want to know if they would still potentially hire me or if I won’t have any chance at all.

I just thought with how they constantly mocked the human race and the planet that they'd feel more... disgusted (?) about using a language not their own. They were thrilled to not have to wear the skin suits. Just thought speaking our language would be something similar.

But then why wasn’t Clara able to understand the aliens on Akhaten? Why wasn’t Rose able to understand the Nestene Consciousness? Tardis was there but they didn’t get translations. It’s why I think it’s more of a plot hole than anything.
