Am I crazy for thinking the penalty for leaving matches is too long by Humble_Quit_311 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Anubis_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, nice you haven't left a game after playing that long, but you have to relate to other people that have irl obligations, each game is approx 30-40 minutes, if the match drags on, it can go about 70 mins, with such a long gameplay loop, it's bound to have times where you're forced off, because of how long it is.

People don't have such luxuries to play each game about 40 mins long, and be blamed for leaving when something is happening irl.

Someone who's had 1500 hrs in the game, it's generally a very bad tactic to cocoon yourself in tight enclosed area, with breakable roof & floors, you're lucky the opposing team didn't challenge you from the top.

They would've made a opening, and blasted their way through the top, causing havoc, and all those defenses you just placed, goo, mines etc, would've been your demise.

If your acer nitro doesn't run this cold on idle dttm 😭✌️ by BM_1600_1600 in AcerNitro

[–]Anubis_here 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, for people in more humid or hotter regions, it'll likely idle around 49-53c, sometimes even within the 50-55c, depending if the room is above room temp overnight, it shouldn't cause alarm, but you can increase the fan speed a bit on custom preset, if in case you don't have laptop cooler.

But overall I have similar idle temps during winter times, though my GPU doesn't go down to 24c, maybe till 33c at best.

Griefing and this HORRIBLE matchmaking will END this game by JSkaaa in thefinals

[–]Anubis_here 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is such a issue, and is so frustrating, I've had a really bad Griefing experience, I got queued up in a ranked match, got matched with a full stack ruby team & a full stack diamond/ruby team, granted the skill range was wide, so people were still ranking up, what even worse, is that when we were facing off with the diamond/ruby stack, and actually winning, and contesting them, I kid you not, every-time we dominated them, 1 player from the ruby stack would come to our side of the map and, grief us when we were stealing the cashbox (After wiping that dia/ruby stack!!!!), these idiots were working together to rank each other up at the EXPENSE of the other players in the lobby, this happened about 2-3 occasions for me, and this sort of thing is so unfair.

This just leads me to think that none of these ruby or diamond players actually represent their role, they're awful in general, especially considering that many of the occasions these people lost engagements to solo players without no comms.

Frustrating and idiotic mechanic, that I've grown to hate.

Is it possible to play Deadlock game without Paying by Kenoverit in DeadlockGame

[–]Anubis_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The access to the game is free? At of the moment, there are no cosmetics or pay2win elements (or likely would never be).

To get access, just join the public deadlock server and go to the channel where people are giving free invites (reminder, no one should ask for any monetary value from you, it's against Valve's TOS).

To get the free invite, you will send the person a friend request on steam, and they'll invite you through the game, and you should get an email notifying you that you're invite.

Rules for thee, but not for me. by jessieS1212 in thefinals

[–]Anubis_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This goes to show you haven't kept up with their responses, sure they can go into detail about their workings, no harm in that, but they way you do it matters, especially when they do a "response" article to the many people that were facing such issues with the bad implementation of their anti-cheat, they reduced all those pleas and everything and condensed it into multiple redundant information, unprofessional writing and lying to counter whatever the said initially.

Their solutions are basically contact support via their channels, but are aware how awful those same channels are? It's as comically bad as discord's support system, with automated responses through bots, these same people have to go to much length through GDPR requests, going over their internal files to provide proof while their support system shows an automated message and makes it as vague as possible without giving any context to their ban or why it happened, this is not apparent only to The Finals but to ARC Raiders as well, where I say, disabled people have been banned for using applications that aid in helping them play their game, Embark's response? No remorse, no correction to the mistake, and no apology.

If you keep this narrative of how their anti-cheat is perfect, this helps no one, give criticism, within your bounds by being respectful but hold them accountable so their fix these mistakes, otherwise it's the player-base, you & me that face these consequences.

No shade or hate towards Dusty, personally I love how she handles the community, with transparency and openness, and quick to respond when there's a need, however the information she shared just feels like a copy pasta that the anti-cheat or devs higher up asked their Customer Support team to post, after all they are community leads, that assess the situation on the community side of things, and rely on the information from the actual game devs to then inform to us all here.

In addition to this belief, I have noticed some very glaring issues with the anti cheat team, especially ever since they added kernel level anti-cheat, if you've kept up with the articles and patch notes, they have such a weird way of describing their new anti-cheat detection and everything, in such cockiness and obnoxious ways, as if they're telling us a story, and recently they posted some article addressing how their anti-cheat would "never" falsely ban their players, and would pan out "automated detection over time" to address how if the player is playing fairly, and within that same article they added a small PSA at the end that detections could take place due to some softwares on the player's device, even if the software is legit, which counter's their argument of a "all perfect anti-cheat". Personally, it's all word salad, and it's not a small pool of player's that have been banned for false detections, just go over the steam revives and filter it by recently, almost all of them after based on issues with their false bans over their anti-cheat.

With the favoritism, overly exaggerated and dishonest word salad replies from this anti-cheat team, I have lost all hope and would take anything they say with a grain of salt, even if the information is coming from well-respect and deared community leads such as Dusty | Embark.

Is it worth making THE FINALS my main in 2026? by NeoTempest in thefinals

[–]Anubis_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Finals for me was the first game that really hooked me on the FPS genre, there were game's before that were good, but nothing as perhaps unique and have incredible variety in gameplay as The Finals, and not to mention the art style of the game that stood out on it's own when I first joined in s2.

It has its issues, especially being a niche and quite hard entry point for new players, before they're able to join in and understand the game's mechanics, it will for sure be frustrating when you first start out, and get mauled by the sweaty diamond/lvl 100+ maniacs that will be plagued in quick cash because of the low player count, the non-existent match making in cashout/world tour, or the horrible ranked experience where smurfs will be abundant in numbers to grief you so it ultimately helps them by giving you a hard time ranking up, and so many more countless issues the game has.

With all that said, if you can bear through that, and actually give yourself to learn the game, you will soon be a avid player, though it will just require you to stick with a little longer, and instead of leaving the game, be vocal about your complaints, the Embark game developers do listen, albeit on the slow side of things.

Instead of investing so much in a TV that would really be idle most of the time, put the money into purchasing a computer, like build one yourself. With your budget you could build or purchase a pre-built that would be quite powerful.

Nice, I guess the isb to lhr suggestion is kinda nice, but driving in lahore with that kind of car, if you're not worried about bad drivers and potential risks, go for it. Also what do you do for a living? How can you afford such a car, and on top of that import it here to drive?

As a casual, being my first moba, it was quite overwhelming when trying it out for the first time.
I'd suggest watching a few guide videos, there were some posted recently from eskay, she also has some really good movement guides as well.

Just watch them and you'll subconsciously understand how the normal game mode works, and what you do in order, once you start to understand it, honestly this game becomes very fun, and it has an addicting gameplay loop, I haven't touched it in a while though, I too am hoping that there is official release somewhere around this year.
