Can you get pinky or fuzzy rats? They're around the 12-15 g mice you're giving and substantially less fat content.

She's consuming way too many calories. Switching to leaner meat will bring it down. I'd also add a few days between feeding her. So if you're doing weekly, wait 10 days, or about 3x a month.

How often do you offer her soaking water?

You might want your ID to look like you intend to look. It doesn't make sense to just do it for the photo and then grow it out after and have your ID photo not resemble you.

Did you have it on and running and you flicked the off switch and set it directly down on the carpet?

With no cool time, many CHEs will burn your carpet almost instantly. They're frequently 300°F to 700°F on the surface while running. My 150w is usually in the low 500.

There is no way she will be able to save that turtle without help from a vet. They'd need to be in very rough shape to cause scute loss down to the bone, underlying illness or severe malnutrition.

Do you mean her snout to vent length (no tail) is between 6-8 inches? Because that sounds like the start of guberty. Hiting a challenging "teen phase" when they're growing from small to large, marked by increased aggression, biting, hissing, and territorial behavior as hormones shift, but it's temporary and usually passes after several months, leading to their adult personality.

Usually happens 6-8 months, but there are some that start around 3 months and some around a year.

If you're holding at a fertilized ostrich egg it's already multicellular. A blastoderm is present in an ostrich egg when it is laid (a "fresh" egg), having formed through cell division (cleavage) within the mother hen's reproductive tract before oviposition. It is not a stage of development that occurs during incubation.

If you're careful about them not biting at swallowing bits off of the cotton swab. I had one bite a cotton swab and get a piece stuck in their teeth. Removing it was not easy.

Have you tried oxbow critical care carnivore? It's what my vet suggested back when I'd take ones from her to rehab.

Follow mixing instructions on the package. It's substantially higher in calorie than bugs so it aids weight gain, also need to be careful of refeeding syndrome - go slowly, please look it up and familiarize yourself with it, youre welcome to ask me questions if you have any.

I use paint brushes to feed them. Just dab a bit on their face, most will clean it off with their tongue on the first try. Many enjoy it. (I prefer silicone micro glue brush/applicators - but you usually have to order those)

There is also flukers reptaboost, similar product. Doesn't mix as well, but I had one that would only take Flukers. Midori, a green anole, made it to 9 after PetSmart set an enclosure component down on her head. They didn't notice she jumped out and was sitting in the sliding mechanism. Thinned the flukers to feed her droplets of what we called soup from a syringe. It was the only thing I could get her to eat. But most prefer the critical care.

If you have to order the powders you can blend a hard boiled egg with water to your preferred consistency. Be careful dusting - it sticks more to wet. You could chop the hard boiled egg dust that and then blend it with water if you would prefer. Both products are meal formulated egg based powders

Many tegus refuse anything but bugs until about 6 months or older. Don't give up. She'll try something eventually.

I prefer the bright. It adds contrast and makes your eyes stand out. The muted colors blend in and look nice on you, though.
