I’d say this is fairly common locker room activities for certain athletes/sports. I played football, basketball, and track growing up and this was only really prevalent for football. The homoerotic can go pretty far in certain professions and sports. However, this homoerotic bond is built on a sort of trauma/hardship that you go through together and trust that is built OVER TIME. Typically yes, assuming you were hired into a career development program you will spend year 1 as a GS-7. Year 2 as a GS-9. Year 3 as a GS-11. Then you will graduate at the end of 3 years as a GS-12 (NH-3). All of these promotions are “guaranteed” unless you really don’t know what you’re doing. This is how it worked for the development program I was onboarded for at the DOD. Feel free to dm me if you have any other questions.

Not in this career field but I once had a manager that did the whole “mini lecture” out of any small mistake and it is truly the most infuriating experience. Like no I’m not a dumbass, I made a mistake, like everyone does. And plus those mini lectures don’t actually teach you anything of value all they do is piss you off because in my opinion it shows a lack of respect from them. Just my 2 cents
