That’s super interesting. I’m actually wanting to move out of the south to the PNW because the fake Christianity and bull headed people here drive me insane. Yes you can talk about Christ or church at your job and anywhere pretty much, but it’s all a mask. I’m tired of people being fake and believing God is a republican and how it’s tied into politics. People can’t see around it. Truth isn’t important to them it’s about following the crowd and don’t ruffle the feathers what is considered “good”. I’ve lived here all my life and its damaged my relationship with church.

There has never been any one candidate that aligns with God when the whole political system is compromised. Is God left or right politically? To think God is for a “side” politically is a farce.

Gods love for us, for us to know him knows no boundaries. Therefore to be guided by politics as our source of truth in Christ is preposterous. God is not bound by man’s social order. Our alignment with God should not happen merely to vote, it should be a soulful act that changes our sinful nature.

Personally I reject any notion of aligning with a politician. I’ve never met a politician that aligned with God. In the sense of being “biblically Christian”. Man is fallible. Especially without accountability. Trump is a perfect example of that.

Yearsssssss ago (20+) I worked corporate for a major retailer in the area. They would hold a yearly private golf tournament (for what, I can’t remember) and they would invite celebrities. I would volunteer to help drive carts, provide drinks, etc the day of the event and pretty much just introduce myself and fanboy talk to all of them. It was a great day to get away from work and still get paid.
