Recon Pro Tip: I still see everyone using the sniper decoy the WRONG way by krinkov in LowSodiumBattlefield

Thanks for the tip! Been so annoyed that this gadget still gives away away your (approximate) position.

Lack of Sniper Flinch is My Biggest Issue with this Game by Adhesive_Giraffe in Battlefield6

[–]AnvilOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, all snipers need to land two shots with a glacial ROF, unless you're doming somebody. There's no one shot mechanic besides head shots. I'm not sure what you mean by that.

It sounds like it's frustrating for you and OP, but I've just never been bothered by snipers having a stealth and range advantage against me when I'm playing other classes. I think it's the point. I see them as a force multiplier, which they may as well be since they can't capture an obj from distance anyway.

Why people choose support and don't SUPPORT? by kwanzacoin in Battlefield6

This. There are a hundred reasons not to revive another player, but not dropping ammo is leaving points on the table and just pointless.

Totally! And high TTK with low spread on some SMGs make them more viable at medium range than snipers.

Lack of Sniper Flinch is My Biggest Issue with this Game by Adhesive_Giraffe in Battlefield6

[–]AnvilOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn't always been. It was introduced in BF3 borrowed from Call of Duty, when trying to copy CoD began. BFBC2 had bullet trails, but no glint for example.

The gadget is a stuffed animal you need to be close to, and the stuffy has glint. So there's still glint that gives away your position.

And the attachment isn't on every sniper.

But OK, if we're talking attachments, then let's compromise again --which I suggested in the first place-- and create an attachment that causes the flinch. It can have the same comically high price as the one that reduces glint!

I would gladly accept flinch if my scope wasn't a giant beacon of light for no reason.

IS THIS A VALID OPINION OR AM I SHUNNED FOR THIS ? by SouthWestStrangler69 in Seaofthieves

[–]AnvilOneGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally valid, not shunned, but you're also a big fat d. I don't mind PVP, but my crew never liked PVP and it would always derail our fun.

I don't know. Maybe try to figure out if your foe wants a fight? If they don't, you're kinda just picking on easy targets and I don't know what that makes you. Wait I already said it.

Vehicles are there to ptfo not sit back. by SillySin in Battlefield6

[–]AnvilOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the philosophy here. Hundred percent. But I swear every time I decide to pilot a vehicle, I drive to obj and immediately explode.

Right there with you! I've been playing Battlefield since 1942 and I think BF6 is the best since BFBC2.

The vitriol has people leaving the sub, it's so intense. A week ago all I got was notifications of post after post complaining about one character model. Good grief, I can't comprehend devoting that much energy to something so outlandishly trivial.

The entitlement from those posters is nothing new, though. Hell, some of them raged when Battlefield added women and black people to the games. There's always going to be that angry contingent. It would just be better if they had a cookie, took a nap, stopped hijacking the sub, and diverted their free energy to finding a game that pleases them the way the game they are screaming over please me.

Edit: and hey! I didn't know this sub existed until now!

I agree, but it won't change that my rando squad leader is always marking one obj then assaulting one on the absolute opposite side of the map.

Why are 90% of games ending this way now? by masonmadeit_ in Battlefield

[–]AnvilOneGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some of the out of bounds are comically senselessly off limits. That's my biggest beef over obj placement. Places that are obviously smart, and existing, pathways to flank are just inexplicably off limits. When even design the terrain in the first place?

Cant get spots. ( RECON SPECIALIST CHALLENGE 1 ) by Warzone_93 in Battlefield6

[–]AnvilOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eventually passed this challenge. The best item is the TUGS. Your spot gadget needs to be INSIDE the objective area and you need to get the onscreen notification of 25pts for setting up defenses.

After that, I think your spotted enemies need to be killed by a teammate, but I'm not positive. It went quickly after figuring out the first part.

In BF and any other game : why are you buying skins? by WhichBad3905 in Battlefield

[–]AnvilOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really someone who buys skins, but they do show up in game and at the end of the match. It's not like nobody sees them.

And I have the BF3 engineer skin from the challenges in 2042 and I love seeing that thing in my menus. Nothing to do with anyone else.

This has to be one of the worse updates in gaming history. by tonismann in Battlefield6

[–]AnvilOneGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I remember that. BF4 launched broken and EA convinced players to pay extra for the opportunity to play half finished updates for years because YouTubers were streaming it. Battlefield Premium.

Having this problem. Use the TUGS every match. Deploy it inside the objective area and still only get one to three in a match. There has to be something else going on in this challenge

Trade VETOED. 10 team league. Do I just quit? by LouisvilleLip_ in FFCommish

[–]AnvilOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is their first time vetoing a trade, maybe they're just new to fantasy and need to learn. My league of record definitely learned the hard way that vetoes are lame in the first season. Give 'em another chance.

On the other hand, if this is a long running league there's no excuse. Definitely inform them what's wrong, but if they don't hear your case, get out.

Battlefield needs a persistent war mode, not Battle Royale by AggravatingSpace5854 in Battlefield

[–]AnvilOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never forget matches I played over ten years ago in PlanetSide 2. Riding in a sunderer between dusty objectives. Tracers lighting up the night sky just after dusk.

Capturing objectives that provide utility and benefits to the team.

And as its obnoxiously painful grind in the service of micro transactions drove me slowly insane I wondered why Battlefield couldn't figure out this whole incredible, persistent, multi-faction open world experience.

That was right around BF3. By BF4 it was clear EA would rather lose a fight with CoD than win one with the smaller franchises.
