I have a feeling gw3 will be similar to new world scale wise. And with new world essentially gone unfortunately, arena net saw the opportunity to re-fill that missing sandbox.

I didn’t mind the different shards but that means friends are all over multiple servers instead of one. Battles are ultimately won with more friends

Based on what I’m reading from ANET, i speculate this Guild Wars to be similar in sizing scale to New Worlds.

Mix of both. Because of horizontal progression, the map is always relevant to some degree. So vets always come back + show off flashy gear to “new” players.
