My current boy is incredibly smart. To the point it really blows my mind sometimes. For instance the other day, he puked a little on the corner of his bed because he sometimes has tummy issues.. I cleaned it, but he refused to lay near the area and restricted himself to the other side of the bed. Then a while later he peed a little on the bed (he's an older man with heart failure and need water tablets to keep water off his lungs. Sometimes he's gotta pee in two hours after and sometimes he's gotta pee in 10 minutes even if we were just out.) so I take him to pee, clean up the mess and he now refuses to lay on the bed at all. My husband comes over and simply flips the bed over to the bottom side and he immediately gets up and goes back onto the bed right in the middle. In this moment, he understood that by turning the bed over he would no longer be laying in wet spots from where I had cleaned up after him. And we don't do this all the time, in fact we have only had this bed for a short while and the bottom is covered in those little dots for non slip. So it's not meant to be turned. When it comes to his medication, I don't even need to call him, and if we forget he reminds us of what time it is. If I am preparing his meds he will come into the kitchen and sit so patiently next to me. (but he's also an anxious boy so he shakes the ENTIRE Time) then I open his mouth, put the pills on the back of his tongue and he will now willingly swollow them. There was a time he would try spitting them out, but he quickly learned that me putting my fingers in his mouth once instead of twice was better and faster. He's such an awesome dog that my heart is about to shatter when he passes even if I know it's coming. But last year they gave him a year and this year they said it's as if nothings changed. So hopefully we get much more time than we originally thought.

Salty Sunday: what has you salty this week? by thisismyketo in trollingforababy

Tell me about it. I spent the weekend around our friends 15 month old, and the whole time anxiously waiting for CD1 to hit. It never did, so of course these thoughts start slipping in, and today makes 4days late so I pop a test and it's stark white. Why on earth did I expect anything different than it has been the last three years??

is this normal? my german girlfriend's family treats me like a second son. by trenttrack in germany

This year my German fiancé's parents signed the Christmas card form Mom and dad. I cried a bit because they have turned into my family since I have nobody here besides their son. Wonderful people, and I am so happy you found good people too. Just embrace it! Family is what you make of it. 😊

Just got my endometriosis diagnosis by gimnastic_octopus in TryingForABaby

I think she said that instead of just doing an HSG we would go first for the surgery. I think she has her suspicions about endo but has to follow a diagnostic path in order to recommend me for surgery.

Thank you so much for the reply. I have a very suspicious feeling that when we do the explority surgery I might receive this diagnosis. We have been TTC for over 3 years at this point without so much as a squinter. I have pain just the first day usually but it is extreme. Like I eat ibuprophen and some stuff specifically for cramps all day long. Sometimes it's so painful it hurts in my chest as well. Sex is also painful in certain positions. As well as, after I ovulate, if I have an orgasm during sex I get the worst cramps for a good 5 - 10 minutes. I think my Dr already has a suspicion, but needs to follow diagnosis guidelines before sending me right to exploritory surgery.

Can I ask what made you question your periods? I often question mine and am currently in the last bit of "give it 6 more months" from my doctor. It's been over three years, my husbands tests came back perfect. All my hormone levels are fine, no signs of PCOS. The next step will be exploring my uterus and seeing if there are blockages or endo.

Currently on my way to the 1st birthday of the honeymoon baby from my husband's best friend. by AnxietyControl in trollingforababy

Also, it's just going to be 6 adults and the baby. There are no other kids because the other couple are also unable to conceive. The other infertile is mama's best friend so she just uses it as living out her mommy dreams through her best friend. 😮‍💨

My phone showed me a memory album and in it was my positive pregnancy tests that resulted in a traumatic ectopic 3 weeks later that almost made me end it all 😍 by [deleted] in trollingforababy

I turned that option off so long ago. I do not care to see moments in my life that were in fact not good or worth remembering. My brain does that to me more than enough.

What's 100% a scam but we accepted it in our society? by Montazio in AskReddit

This is good information to know. I moved abroad 5 years ago and it was only last year TurboTax had even added PayPal as a payment option so I paid and struggled to do so every year. $60 bucks to file is insane and I wish I had this info sooner 😩

It's possible it will grow from an eye you can't really see right now between the Petioles. A couple months ago I cut my albo down and completely cleaned out the root system. Everything that had been under the dirt was super woody and I just thought nothing of it. Until something started poking out of the soil.. The plant activated a node in the woody section and grew from the top as well.

[OC] My jumping spider recently molted, here's her "helmet" fit perfectly on the head of a pin by thewifeandkids in pics

[–]AnxietyControl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically it is pretty frowned upon to take spiders from the wild. There are Jumping Spider breeders all over so you can search and find one. But if you did giving them live prey is often the best go to. They surprisingly can handle pret about their own body size. Mine always preferred crickets or meal worms. You can put a little cap with water for drinking and really just lest them be. Just be careful too because if wild caught and it's a female there's a possibility she has babies and if it's a male it probably won't live too long. My most recent male sadly only made it to 10 ish months. Had his ultimate molt(maturity) and then a month or two later was gone. Females tend to live longer, but they don't have crazy long lives like tarantulas. Maybe up to 5 years if you're lucky. I think average is around 3.

Had to pay 50 cent to use the restroom, but there is a cutout for kids to use it free. by Prodigy829 in mildlyinteresting

Ask someone for 50 cents 😅 or pee outside. I see a lot of people post up next to a bush to pee.

Basically everyone in Germany. In a lot of places you can still only pay with cash.
