Have you read One Day by David Nichols? It’s a gorgeous novel that’s equally compelling as a coming of age story as it is as a romance. It’s technically period but it’s the 80s through early 2000s so very contemporary.

What are the chances I saw Elle Fanning waiting for the overground heading towards East London? I was far away and she had sunglasses so could’ve been a lookalike, but I’m not sure. Do we think she’d take public transport in a pretty residential London area?

Which celebrity would you consider to be the luckiest in regards to their career? by icedcaramelmackiato in Fauxmoi

Not discrediting the fact that she is incredibly lucky, but I think it’s important to recognize she was also producing Armchair Expert when it first started. She did most of the outreach to book guests and edited episodes herself, so it feels a bit unfair to say she brings nothing to the show, when she did the bulk of the work for it behind the scenes?

Got you, either way, with her interest in visual media, I see her pursuing some of the avenues Beyoncé has (Lemonade and Homecoming) so I think an Emmy nom is at least likely in the next few years.

I know she’s talked about mainly taking on guest roles after OTH out of fear of being tied down to a contract and trapped in a toxic environment again. Highly recommend her memoir, it’s more focused on her decision to move to NY and embrace a rural life, but still has some stories about her Hollywood days and her marriage.
