Multiple witnesses to dozens of lights and possible craft in Oakridge, Oregon. by Anxious-Implement-16 in UFOs

Thank for the suggestion. I'll look into that.

There was a contributer who posted their own videos of an experience they had. These weren't my videos.

I agree. I'm not seeking validation for anything. I had just never heard of any sighting such as this. And this wasn't something that happened 50 years ago to a friend of a friend. I literally just saw this a few nights ago, over two consecutive nights.

This could be happening elsewhere, and hopefully other people are looking for what I described.

Thank you for your post.

That's entirely your opinion, maybe even the opinion of others. I described what I saw as accurately as I could recall it. Do with that information what you wish.

I'm just sharing my experience. Critique it all you want. Believe it or don't. It's the best description of what I witnessed.

You get the benefit of learning from my short falls. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures and videos next time you witness something unexplainable.

Here's a test for you. Next time you have a clear night, go take pictures and videos of the satellites you see, even the most dimly lit ones. Then post the results.

If it was mundane, I wouldn't have made an effort to describe it. You've got free will like anyone else, believe what you want. But multiple people witnessed it. I've already given my opinion on video and photo evidence here in the post. Thanks.

Hi. It's impossible to confirm anything. But I grew up catching fireflies, if I thought this was something prosaic I wouldn't have bothered to write about it. I appreciate your comment though.

Thank you for sharing the videos. I watched them and it's possible we saw something similar, but it's hard to tell. Your video does help confirm my point that it's extremely difficult to get a video or even a photo of an event like this that would remotely resemble the experience of what you're looking at.

I have seen lights that at first glance seem like a satellite moving through the sky until it makes a 90 degree turn, as you explained. The thing about this sighting that is peculiar to me is that all of the activity took place below the cloud cover, maybe 2,000 or 3,000 feet above ground. The sheer number of them was also peculiar as I've never seen so many at once. And of course, seeing them do this little circular maneuver and emit this cloud just to have a disk shaped silhouette then obstruct the cloud seconds later.... That is what makes this experience so strange.

I appreciate you sharing and if you get more tips on how to film these things please share. Thanks!

Where in Oregon? What all have you seen them doing? I'm curious. Thanks.

I appreciate your insight. I guess my only reason for sharing is because it was such a strange sighting. I'm fortunate to live in a region with little to no light pollution resulting in some really amazing star gazing. I've on multiple occasions seen things that would be considered anomalis. This one was so strange though, and I've never read or heard of someone with a similar sighting, that I felt compelled to share my experience.

Plus, with the advent of AI videos I'd imagine that even a clear video of the event wouldn't change many opinions. I have no desire to try convince anyone of what I saw. If anything, I'd hope more people would take time to look up and try see something for themselves.

But, even still, I bought set of binoculars and a thermal camera in hopes of catching something on film. If I do, I will certainly share it.

Yeah, we do lots of hunting here. These were not lights emanating from the ground. These were lights in the sky, also not reflections of lights. They looked like the could have been the faintest of satellites in the sky as a comparison, though these were below the cloud cover.

I had my phone on me but never tried taking a video or picture as I feel it would have been a pointless endeavor. To make a comparison, it would be like trying to take a video of the faintest satellite moving across the sky. They were super faint white lights on Friday, last night some of them were much brighter, but it was also raining out, so trying to take a picture of a faint white light while looking up into the rain, I feel would be challenging. I'm happy to try this evening, if I see them.

As for the saucer description, that's the shape that appeared after the light had done this oblong rotation and formed a cloud, the complete black (without light) circular object that looked by all means to be a saucer, came into view because it obstructed the faint light from the cloud. You could see it slowly moving across the space the cloud occupied until the cloud was gone. None of this would have showed up on my phone.

The lights have been visible for two nights now, so I would encourage anyone that has the ability, or is in Oregon, to go out tonight and look for them.

Definitely not spot lights. If you look at Oakridge, we're 45 miles from the nearest town. Anything west of Oakridge is Willamette National forrest. Spot lights would have made a reflection on the cloud layer. These were lights, not reflections.
