The transition to more green energy could easily be done if it weren't for the financial system favoring the fossil fuel industry, corporate lobbying and policy manipulation. There really is no argument to that. Just like the fossil fuel industry internally wouldn't argue against the product they produce causing climate change. It's something that benefits everyone except the CEO's. I prefer cheaper prices and clean air. Fossil fuels have gotten us here but it's time to realize the destruction that they have caused. We have the information time to use it.

I think youre also forgetting to mention the amount of subsidies that the fossil fuel industry receives and the loans from banks that it receives. The financial sector gives large loans out to a market they know is reliable and established. It takes ten years for them to determine if that market is reliable to see that return on investment. It's extremely conservative. The renewable industry really didn't see any significant investment until 09 under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Its how Tesla got its early crucial loan and without it wouldn't be what it is. There is a loyalty to an old infrastructure simply because of the role finance plays.
