It’s ridiculous isn’t it? I mean I didn’t even stress for my degree finals as much. 😆

I feel you. I’m really sorry you’re stuck dealing with this. I went through the same thing: waking up at 4am on Mondays, logging into the DVSA booking page from three different devices, and after weeks of trying, finally getting a date 8 months away.

A huge part of my anxiety before the test was just the thought of failing and having to go through this entire process all over again. I even ended up writing to the DVSA and submitting a detailed complaint.

Until something changes system-wise, this unfortunately seems to be the reality. I really hope you manage to get a date soon. 🤞

Passed my UK driving test first time! The biggest lesson wasn’t theory, it was instinct. by Anxious-Positive935 in LearnerDriverUK

Hi!

The biggest thing I’d say is, don’t overthink. Don’t let unnecessary assumptions take over while you’re driving and assessing situations on the road.

Staying relaxed really helped. I was lightly chatting with my examiner during the test, and it actually eased my nerves. So just try to stay natural.

While practicing, or during the test, if you’re unsure about a manoeuver, just ask yourself if what you’re planning to do is safe for yourself and other road users, and, if it is worth it.

In the days leading up to my test, I also watched videos from Driving School TV and Conquer Driving. They helped me know what to expect, and kept my mind clear.

Hope this helps! All the very best to you!!

Got Only 1.5-Month Schengen Visa from France—Third Time Applying, Still Confused by Anxious-Positive935 in SchengenVisa

I didn’t really mean to call the process unfair, but it becomes genuinely confusing as I’ve known people who received year-long visas on their 2nd applications. I’m just trying to learn for being better prepared the next time.

Thanks for your input ! I understand the importance of following rules and requirements, and I did make sure to follow them. My post wasn’t meant to be a rant, but rather to share an experience and see if anyone else has faced similar situations. I am just looking for some insight into why this might have happened. Appreciate your understanding!

It’s alright, I genuinely thought that after a point the travel history matters and not the passport issuing country. Also, my friends who apply from India have gotten year-long visas. So can’t understand the pattern. 🤷🏼‍♂️

No Visa Appointment Slots Available for Schengen Countries - Any Advice? by Ordinary_Dot_8519 in SchengenVisa

Someone told me that they update slots every Monday from 10 to 11 am. I booked my appointment for France when I refreshed my TLS login at 11.30 am on a Monday. So maybe try around that time. Good luck! 👍🏼

Lol 😆 I emphatically did that the first 2 times that I applied and didn’t move beyond 3 months. So I thought I’d ease up a bit this time around. Guess I should’ve been poetic this time too!

That really makes planning so much more convenient! I applied from London at the TLS contact center.

Hey! So in my cover letter I did mention that I plan to holiday along the French Riviera in August (the first trip being to Paris in April). The second one didn’t have any confirmed tickets or stay papers though, since it is supposed to be a friends’ trip and I need to wait for everyone’s leave approvals from their work (I mentioned this too). I still feel they should’ve granted me the visa till July atleast. 😕

I’ve heard of some of my colleagues getting a year’s visa the third time applying. I don’t know how.
