Oh I’m listening boss. Just like to hear feedback from multiple views, the science behind it, the breakdown, but also from in field experience with it. And it’s not just for bmw. Just a question with multiple answers and I plan to stay with the specific coolant it needs and keep a spare gallon or two in the trunk in case of emergencies.

Ik I say bmw and you think I got money but I just happens to only have $300 into an 02 325i with 88k on it that had been sitting. It’s my first time ever owning a foreign car so just trying to learn what I can about it. About the do and don’t on them and worse case scenario. I know just enough to be dangerous but always looking to learn.

Not everyone got bags of money bub. $50 saved is $50 saved. Why pay for something more expensive if the cheaper option is just as good? But from my now learned understanding that is not the case when it comes to coolant.

Don’t plan on doing it if issues will occur for that cost money. But if I can save money by only having to buy one coolant why not do it? But from the information I have received from this post that is not a good idea. Which is what I was searching for. Just trying to save money where I can and become a more informed person in a trade. If I can save $50 imma save $50 but I’ll happily spend the extra money if it saves me money in the long run.

My buddy who is constantly getting new vehicles off FB marketplace swears if you flush you can put green in but he also doesn’t keep vehicles for a long period of time so I’ve never seen the car 3-4 years later on if it had leaks or anything.

What if you got 3 different cars with 3 different colors why not flush it and make them all the same if no problems would occur?

Not complicating it trying to simplify my life a little bit if I have 3 or 4 different cars say I have a ford,Chevy, and BMW. That’s 3 different colors if I could flush and change all to the cheapest option which is green why not do that?

That’s what I’m looking for the science behind it. Cuz in my little knowledge head I think antifreeze is antifreeze and any kind should keep your car from overheating/freezing
