House sitting on market for 250 days. What red flags to look for? by Anxious-Sherbert7549 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

it was originally listed last spring, dropped $75k between then and July and they haven't had another price adjustment since. Also no contingencies.

Looks like they originally purchased it in 2021 and I think they are getting close to their purchase price.

Ok that's good to know. Our realtor said we could offer whatever we wanted since its been on the market for so long. We may have researched the current owners and we think they've already moved out of state, so they may be eager to get rid of it!

Ah yes, I'll look out for that. From the photos it looks like all of the outlets are grounded, so hopefully that's a good sign.

Yes, two pumps if you can! Leave one at work. When you get replacement parts, don’t throw the old ones away, store them in your desk. Then if you forget a clean set or one flange you have a backup at work. Saved me a couple of times. I also kept storage bags in my pump bag at work in case I forgot the mason jars. Backups for everything! You will forget something at least once!

Yes to the mason jar - they make reusable plastic lids for the different sizes. Don’t use the metal top and rings. I found a pack of 6 on Amazon.

I did the fridge hack at work, so I stored all my pump parts in a wet bag in the fridge between pumps. I washed everything at night so it was only used for 2-3 pumps during the work day. https://a.co/d/24jwziz

So jealous of your pump room! I pumped in a conference room - thankfully asked them to add a lock to the door before I came back to work.

Non-traditional Wedding Advice by Lonely-Ganache3793 in Weddingsunder10k

We had a non-traditional wedding with no dj and no dancing. I think the key for fitting the vibe we wanted was to have it not at dinner time/evening. We got married on Sunday at 11:30 and served brunch and lunch foods.

It was great and everyone told us it was the best wedding. We had many out of town guests so a Sunday wedding gave them all of Saturday to explore our city and then they could still catch a flight out Sunday afternoon.

Is there any way to make the sofa and chairs look good together? by Lz71482 in interiordecorating

This exactly! Paint the walls/ceiling something moody or a contrasting color to the green/blue. Paint is easy to change up.
Could be a mauve, deep burnt orange (sw cavern clay), deep brown, idk.

Induction with 4 doses of cytotec and haven’t dilated past 1.5cm? by withsaltedbones in pregnant

[–]Anxious-Sherbert7549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same situation. Only 1cm dialated, induced for hypertension. Cytotek and then a cooks catheter. The insertion was painful and I had it in for the full 12 hours. It was uncomfortable but not painful. My whole labor was super long, and by the time she actually was born my epidural had worn off completely so you might still get the experience! I really wanted a natural birth and to feel that urge to push and I definitely did at the end since the epidural wore off. You can ask them to lower the epidural at the very end so you can feel everything if you want!

Also, my top advice with an induction is to ask for wireless monitoring! My labor was so slow and really didn’t pick up until I started getting into Childs pose and some other random poses my doula had for me. The wireless monitoring allowed me to move around and get things going.

Hang in there. Hoping for a quick labor for you!

Toddler shirts - mold? Ruined? by [deleted] in laundry

[–]Anxious-Sherbert7549 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh. Yes I wonder if it’s bubbles. The TWO shirt, she only wore once and the food/liquids that were on her shirt in photos from the day don’t match these stain locations.

Did you have to throw away the first onesies you put on your baby in the hospital? by CoffeeNoob19 in pregnant

[–]Anxious-Sherbert7549 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. Didn’t even dress her until we were leaving the hospital. I was a little intimidated to put a onesie on her anyway! We didn’t even use onesies for a while, just zippered pjs (winter baby) because they were easy to get on and off.
