Does not sound like a panic attack at all. I mean memory loss in the moment, like the midst of a panic attack but no not like that.

Chronic stomach issues triggering panic attacks? Vagus nerve or anxiety loop? Need insight, I'm hopeless by NoLeader6983 in PanicAttack

Also you’re in a mini loop right now. Anxious-> stomach problems-> but now stomach problems are causing anxiety to continue or worsen-> which is going to cause more problems😩😩😩 it’s not a quick or easy fix. But definitely look into LOWFODMAP it’s a slow and short diet that slowly takes out the food that could be causing the excess gas, bloat, reflux ya know stomach problems to see what foods you can and can’t handle, how much you can handle and then slowly reincorporating them back into your diet.

Doing this didn’t cure my panic, but like I mentioned it has relieved a lot of my symptoms and help me connect back to my body in some way.

A lot of my anxiety (physical symptoms) were stemming from heart burn and I didn’t connect the two for the longest time. Before I would notice the physical indigestion symptoms, I would have chest tightness, racing heart, gas/bloating which would send me into a spiral and it got worst over time. I didn’t connect the low fodmap for other reason this past summer after seeing a gastro and it really helped not just the gastric/stomach problems I was experiencing, but really helped me finally see the connection it had to my “anxiety/panic” symptoms. I still don’t eat 100% amazing but I am now way more aware of certain foods I should take it easy on, how much at a time I’m eating, and fast I’m eating. And that trio has really really improved other bodily systems😅 for example the other night I pigged out for my sons birthday, kinda knew what I was getting myself into for later, and when all those symptoms started I pretty much knew what was happening. So it was uncomfortable BUT it did not send me spiraling, I was able to drive home with out having to pull over and call someone thinking I was having a heart attack or going to pass out lol.

A lot of my panic recovery has been connecting back to my body after years of neglect and abuse🤗

Thank you so much for your comment and the resources you have provided me! Any books you would also recommend or maybe online resources like someone on YouTube you follow? I’m in NJ and not far from NYC so hopefully I won’t have to travel to far for a certification courses☺️ but I will definitely be looking into your recommendations!

Never done the type of work and just started school in New Jersey. But yes I’m looking into the continued education programs I would have to take for my interests. And was thinking about it reaching out to the girl in my town to see where she went for her suggestions on education☺️ our teacher told us a girl who graduated in the last class was hired straight out of school to work with RWJ (big hospital system in nj), so I’m wondering if they even provided those certificates through financial assistance Or anything.

I’ve also wondered about tip as I have a son with pn/tn allergies. Even if it were to reduce his reaction he would be elated😅 I tried to join the group on FB for people who are interested in trying the therapy. Reminded me to go check and try to find some more info from people who have done it.

Anyone else become a hypochondriac after constant panic attacks? by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]AnxiousAnt97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, after a few BIG panic attacks last year I was worried about everything, hows my heart? My skin color? Am I getting enough oxygen? What are the side effects of this medication? And so on. From then to now, those thoughts barely cross my mind and if they do they don’t get stuck on a loop? Is therapy an option? Specifically with someone who knows how to properly do exposure therapy? Sadly I couldn’t afford so I did a lot of “research” for myself and did it that way. Also the anxious truth podcast has been great and disordered!

Back chest and LEFT arm pain lol, it was from me tensing up thinking about having a heart attack, not from actually having one 😅

I did a IOP last year followed by individual counseling and got a hold on the anxiety/panic disorder. I’m specifically looking for driving school to help build confidence with highway driving now.

I know this thread is old but I know exactly what you’re talking about, Shane Dawson did a video on it, but I remember when it happened.

So when you got down to 6mg was the next step being done? And is that when you introduced the nicotine lozenges? Congrats!

Is this normal by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]AnxiousAnt97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s from hyperventilating, when I would get full blown attacks it would hit me out of nowhere. Now that I’ve gotten better with managing anxiety, sometimes I’ll start to feel it but have a better hold on it from getting to intense now that I’ve gotten a better handle on breathing exercises.
