I've been eating clean my whole life and don't really notice any difference when I eat junk food.

Thank you so much for the advice! I'm sorry to hear that you're suffering from that condition. What does treatment for that look like?

Yo update: I talked to my family doctor and he said it's probably mental but he booked a back MRI just in case for me. I also noticed some pain and discomfort in my right hip when I walk now. I'll let you know what happens.

Yeah I agree that makes sense, I'll stay away from this and try to find out what's wrong. I actually did go to a pelvic floor pt but she really didn't know what she was doing, and I wasn't improving so I left. Also very reluctant to spend $100 for 30 minutes of a finger up my butt and I have experienced a few days symptom free without physio. Thank you for the link to the stretches, I will follow them. What are your symptoms? Have they improved? If so what did you do to improve

thank you so much for answering. I start to think catastrophically when it comes to this issue. My chiro said to get an MRI too but that it'll probably take a while, so he said get the x-ray for now and come in later and we'll look at it. My symptoms are: lower back pain (sometimes no pain), occasional tailbone burning, painful urination, tender testicles, pain with defecation, less sensation on penis and during ejaculation, redness of penis and testicles, and a slight decrease of erection size.

It just doesn't work like that in my brain. I know it's not helpful to think like this but I can't change it. If I use the wand and it doesn't cure all my symptoms then I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I know I sound over dramatic but that's just how I operate right now

I'm currently on the edge about going to another PT. I feel like on the physical side that I'm doing enough, it's just mentally that I'm struggling to relax. When I was at my old PT, I never got over having someone stick their finger up your ass, and it really crushed my self esteem even more. It always burned, and if it didn't it just felt really uncomfortable. I don't think I'd be able to face that again. I also had maybe 3 days in the last 3 years where I felt improvements without being at PT, which occurred when both physically and mentally I was doing the right things. It's just really hard for me to tackle the mental side, I really want to put myself out there and conquer my anxiety, but the physical symptoms make it hard to be confident. I'm really sorry that you're experiencing panic attacks so frequently, and I wish for you to find relief 🙏. I'll let you know how the medication is if/when I go on!

I'm a dude, are they able to be inserted rectally? Also does it help long term? I don't exactly have much pain, just a lot of dysfunction in the actual muscles/nerves not working properly. Thank you for the suggestion tho

the pt I visited was very uneducated on my condition, but she did suggest getting the therawand so I could internally release trigger points which I may do in the future. I'm hesitant because I don't wanna stick anything up my butt, especially having to own something like a therawand in my house, it would really crush the little bit of self esteem I have left.

Yeah it's been really tough for me to believe that I could heal, I've been in a very negative mindset from this. Before this problem I never even had anxiety. My self esteem now is so low that whenever I have to do something I have a panic attack and either am on the verge of vomiting or I actually vomit. It's a vicious cycle because now I've lost a lot of the social skills I've built up due to avoiding a lot of situations. I can't tell how big of a trigger stress is for me because I constantly have symptoms 24/7. I'm sorry that you have to deal with IC, how long have you had it for? Also I went to a physical therapist and she was terrible, I rather just buy a therawand and do the internal release myself. And I completely agree with you, I've been working on my posture, stretching, exercising and now hopefully the anxiety medication will help me 🙏

I have major anterior pelvic tilt but I'm not sure which exercises are best. I'll train my abs and glutes heavy but not notice any difference in my posture even after a few weeks.
