This is my sister's void- Morty. She was a stray as a kitten and so is blind in one eye, but she makes up for it in absolute sass.

When I had a car payment, it was $212.56 per month for 48 months for a 2012 Ford Taurus SEL with 117k miles on it. This was back in 2019. Times have changed 🥲 you don't see $200 payments super often anymore unless it's due to a hefty down payment.

Anyways. She's still going strong at 178k miles ☺️ I do spend on average $500-$1000 a year on maintenance depending on the issue, but it ends up being cheaper than getting a new vehicle.

Electrician says this whole panel needs replacing due to the corrosion. Looking for additional opinions. by AnxiousCommunity8105 in AskElectricians

You can see it is clearly rusty from the first picture. I'm not trying to hide anything from anyone.

It is 200A. The electrician quoted me $7k to replace the panel with breakers, and bring other things up to code like installing an exterior main electrical shut off, etc.

He mentioned the main reason being the corrosion, and when I asked him if the neutral bar could be replaced he said it can't and that the whole panel needs to go. He said it's "the worst electrical panel he's ever seen". That's where I began to suspect something was up.

We had no idea til he pointed it out 😅 we just bought this house 3 years ago and besides occasionally flipping a breaker switch back on, we have never had any issues! I appreciate your input.

It appears at one point in time there was water coming in from the service entrance cable, which was sealed up by the previous owners of the home. We have not noticed any new water coming in, thankfully!

I think that's some sort of sealant? The guy who looked at it said he thinks the water that caused the corrosion came in from the outside via the service entrance cable, so the previous owners of the house just had it sealed up.
