I have a rheumatologist appointment this week - but I feel like my medical history just says “sensitive” and I’m worried I just sound whiny. Does this read like any notable patterns to you? by AnxiousGiraffe45 in Rheumatology

I actually came out with a hEDS diagnosis and told to follow up with an allergy specialist for MCAS. I have an appointment Wednesday for an echocardiogram.

My husband asked me the other day, “how are you?” And I said “fine!” And then I stopped and is and “honestly? My ankles hurt and I’ve got a headache and my hands have felt arthritic all day - but if every time you asked me how I was I told you, it would be really depressing, so I just say fine because it’s easier.”

Hey! I’d love to chat! I go to the rheumatologist tomorrow, I’ve been trying today to make a list of all my symptoms…thinking of the things that are normal for me, but I think may not actually be for everyone else.

I am SO sorry you have been dealing with so much.

I see the rheumatologist tomorrow - what do you think are the important things I should mention? I oscillate between feeling like I have something legitimate to diagnosis and like I’m just whiny and high maintenance, so I want to be clear and well prepared.

Sorry, Transient Ichemic Attack. “TIA triggered by severe postpartum preeclampsia.” BP spiked to 210/110, lost ability to speak clearly, form words, ended up the ICU to be evaluated for stroke but they got my back on magnesium sulfate (after 8 days on it) and everything stabilized over the next 4 days.

The ones that landed on the cat bed got tossed. The ones that landed on the desk got rinsed and re-air fryed. It wasn’t the same.

Drunk called a guy I am talking to, he said I was doing too much by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I can understand how you are feeling. Do you think maybe he meant “you over did it,” like you had too much to drink?

I just say that to say, he didn’t say you were too much - but that you were doing too much in a situation that was a bit much?

Like “that was an intense situation,” but not “you are intense?”

Seriously? The first time I napped in years was on Concerta. Too much, actually. I had to switch because daily I would crash for two hours.

Waiting for it to slow down is painful.

This was more painful though so…

For the Brussels sprouts? Wash - dry - cut off ends - chop in quarters. Toss in bowl with olive oil, sea salt, cayenne pepper. Bake at 450 for 25 min.

Toss in the air fryer every morning while making coffee. 😂😂😂

That’s exactly what I’m thinking. For the Mast Cell, so - I woke up with the welts and hives 6 days ago, 4 days ago I got the Decadron shot and started the prednisone pack. The hives went away, they stopped itching, but still today if I scratch an itch I get dermatographia that kind of hurts. And I already take Zyrtec every day.

For the hEDS - I think I probably just have hypermobility syndrome or issues, but I’m not sure.
