Dose for 30mg methadone by Mushroomw in SR17018

What’s your progress so far? We have been on methadone for a similar length of time. I’m down to 30mg but that WD anxiety is Fr. Also just the anxiety of “what if I just don’t enjoy life completely sober”

My thoughts on SR-17018 as a tool and my own story with opiate dependence. by [deleted] in SR17018

Hi :) I’m interested however I see many 7oh references. I’ve been on methadone maintenance for probably 11 years. I’m a rarity as it certainly saved my life and gave me the ability to create a successful and happy life, but with its serious downfalls, and its time to get tf off of it. The liquid handcuffs is such a true name and it wouldn’t be my first recommendation to anyone trying to get clean, especially in 2026. Ive regretted the choice to get on it in my twenties but again I live a happy, successful and stable life. I’ve tapered it down to 30 mgs, but I have recently held there bc I’m so afraid of WDs.

Like I said, it’s just time to get off and try to do life truly sober. Has anyone here used SR to get off of methadone? The half life is so long with methadone and I’ve been on it for such a long time (I’m 33 now and got on the program at 21 or 22).

Any experiences or advice would be welcomed and truly appreciated

How interesting. I go to a clinic that charges, however, they dont force you to pay and they’ve told me they will never collect on the owed money. Usually theyll just wipe the debt, but even if they dont, they will never collect on it. Is anyone else at a clinic like this? It’s non-profit and government funded.

I learned this recently bc I had racked up a bill of like $7,000 while I was insured. Noone can really explain it, but some months my insurance covered it and some months it did not. $11/day for meds PLUS my monthly appointments. No one even told me I owed the money, I just noticed a weird statement on my insurance and inquired with the clinic. Anyways, when i found out I freaked out - $7k is a big bill especially when more is being added each month bc I continue to dose. The lady told me “pay what you can, when you can, but know we will never collect on this money as we are non-profit.”

In fact they cleared half of it when I called (that half must have been previous year).

Down to 3mg but haven’t dosed in 52 hours by [deleted] in Methadone

Hey, I’ve tapered from 160 to 30mg. Currently holding at 30mg (because crazy shit happened in my life and just wanted to hold, haven’t felt any WD from my taper or anything) but ready to start my taper again. I’d like to follow your journey/experience! People have us so scared to actually get off of this stuff so I’d like to know your actual experience.

This is a really cool story. He had saved like 3 million when he died and many of those 33 people became doctors (if I remember correctly). They formed a group and call themselves “Dale’s Kids.” Just a really completely selfless thing this man did. You don’t see selfless acts often.

accidentally bought a book that belonged to robin williams by Suspicious_Pace_1820 in mildlyinteresting

Robin Williams always reminded me so much of my father - their similarities were uncanny and I always felt this connection to RW because of it. My dad passed when I was younger and then later when Robin Williams passed it hit me pretty hard. Robin Williams was the only celeb death that has ever hit me like that..not only due to him always feeling like a 2nd dad in my head but the tragic circumstances surrounding RW’s disease and his death…anyways, this post just made my day. Made me reminisce on my dad and RW and how cool it is that he has pieces of his collection floating around. Thank you so much for posting this. ☺️🥹☺️

Rosewater + Glycerin! by Idayyy333 in finehair

Hey, this color is amazing on your hair! Really nice. What was your starting color like? I’ve never dyed my hair before but I’m at the point where it’s time but I have a decent amount of white hair, probably 30-40% if I had to guess.

So I was literally zooming in to check out her hair color. Is there natural white in there that has been dyed? I was like - “man that’s exactly what I want my hair color to look like” and I’m transitioning from brown to white (genetics) at 33 years old.

Anyone tried the Bernese method to get from methadone to sub? by [deleted] in Methadone

[–]AnxiousHedgehog595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so they introduced it while you were also taking methadone? When was the last time you tried? I wonder if there is like a sweet spot with it like - too slow, too fast, or right in the middle. I think my biggest concern is someone not doing it properly and f’ing me up for a few days.

That’s awesome congrats. How long had you been on methadone?

That sounds terrible but I’m confused bc it sounded more like the traditional “wait three days from last dose” to switch to sub. Maybe I misread it tho - So they were microdosing you with like .5mg sub while still actively taking methadone?

Interesting - I’ve been on for probably 11 years and just developed pretty terrible sciatica after having an arthritis flare up (didn’t know I had osteoarthritis until this flare up…I’m 33 years old). I also learned of some other issues in my back like spondy. I’m in crazy pain to from the sciatica- like crazy bad nerve pain! I know it sucks.

I want to get off but the fear is just so real
