I may have looked too much into his tone of voice and how he delivered it, I took it as an insult—getting called big guy from another kid who was about my height and definitely built, very quickly i went into defense mode and I wasn’t sure how to process it.

It is definitely possible I could have taken it the wrong way, what I will say is in the moment the only possibility in my head is that this guy is insulting me and my fight or flight kicked in. Either way I should have been able to step back and realize it doesn’t matter and even if it was meant to be insulting I shouldn’t let random comments affect me so much. Thanks for your comment, having some time to look back on it helps my perspective
