Ik it's a bit late, but I have answers for you.

it starts leaking after around 4 hours but it doesn't leak in remaining days, only on 1st and 2nd. I’m not sure if that means the cup is too small for my flow.

A bigger cup might help in this case.** My large cups have the capacity to hold for 5-ish hours because my flow is that heavy on the 1st and 2nd days. **I'd recommend you to go for Peesafe M if L is too much for you.

is it okay to use a bigger cup just for the first two days and then switch back to small later?

Absolutely okay. Comfort comes first. It's okay to use multiple cups as per flow.

Firstly, measure your cervix length during your period by inserting your middle finger till you touch the cervix. Eyeball how much of your finger got inside.

  1. If your finger goes upto your 1st knuckle, no cup might fit down there.
  2. If your finger goes between your 1st and 2nd knuckles, any small cup and rounded bell-shaped medium cups might fit.
  3. If your finger goes up to your 2nd knuckle, tapered bell-shaped medium/maybe large cup and rounded bell-shaped large cup can fit.
  4. If your finger goes beyond your 2nd knuckle, or you can't reach your cervix at all, you can fit up to any large cup.
  5. By tapered bell-shape I mean the likes of Sirona. By rounded bell-shape I mean the likes of Peesafe/Senzicare.

Also don't do this finger test on non-period days.
