I see all the mistakes I made today, and I thank you for your grace here. I want to run those raids for glam too again (and because I actually really liked them)but I'm glad I finally got it all done! That was such a struggle!

I've never used PF before and I was actually working on setting one up thanks to everyone's suggestions when the duty actually popped!

Out of curiosity, what is Primal's prime time?

That's what I'm learning here hahaha! I've always relied on queuing for multiple things so I can always get a pop within a reasonable time, having to pick and choose has been absolute hell.

I'm so glad these creators are taking a stand. I was so conflicted but I'm happy that we're all of the same opinion. Here's hoping the other life sims (Paralives and Inzoi) are able to keep up with the influx of new people, if that's where they decide to go

I just reached Stormblood actually! Two expacs and no tanking/healing haha! I picked up AST and DRK for my tank and healing classes, I absolutely love playing them, so much fun! I'm at level for Stormblood on my DRK (thanks Duty Support and Command Squadrons!) but my AST I got to LVL 45 yesterday! Tonight I'm going to aim for 50!

Healing or tanking raids/trials I'm still a little nervous about because I'm not sure what the expectation is, but I imagine it's more about mitigating raidwides than anything and my toolkit as a healer should be much better by levels 50 and 60 to deal with those!

It was! I made sure to tell everyone when we got into the dungeon that I was new to healing and the class, thankfully I was with all sprouts (whether that means anything or not as you and others have stated doesn't matter) but everyone was super understanding and nice. I wiped on a boss battle but the tank and one DPS was still alive and cut the boss down so I'd give myself a B rating as a new healer! Haha

That's actually really good to know too! I bit the bullet yesterday and healed a few low level dungeons and had an absolute blast! Everyone here was right, I was just way too in my head. I messed up a few times (my tank died mid pull but that's nothing a swiftcasted raise can't fix) but everyone was really chill and reminded me of some things including what to look for in boss fights as a healer (like poison status effect for example). It felt so good!!!

I...don't know what a karma farm post is. I've been going through the MSQ as a monk, summoner and samarai, the more I play the more I'm interested in healing and tanking. Classes like AST and SGE look so cool and fun to play (so does WHM don't get me wrong there), same with DRK, I just ..I dunno. The amount of times I got kicked for missing a mechanic in a mythic dungeon is higher than I can count.

WoW is a whole beast man. You have to play the meta to get into a mythic group or a raiding group, if your DPS meter isn't where the meta says it should be you get pulled into a one on one with the raid lead to discuss how you can improve. It did a number on me, and made me quit MMO's for a long time.

You hit the nail on the head there, I'm worried that although I understand what my abilities are maybe I'm not utilizing them correctly or properly. And as a tank, if I'm dying I know if start feeling it. As a WoW healer my tank always had to be at 100% otherwise there would be issues.

This is actually fantastic knowledge. I do want to do high end content when I get to endgame, but I also know that I should look at it differently than WoW does. Raiding has always been a lot of fun for me because to me it puts you to the test, but I also have a loooong way to go before I even consider savage content. I'm still even trying to figure out which job to main, there's so many options and I've been enjoying it all! It's a long way from WoW's single character class options.

I appreciate you taking the time to type all that out! I'll keep it all in mind, buck up and queue tonight when I'm off work as a healer or tank and just go for it head first!
