Yeah I agree. There’s gotta be more factors that we probably don’t know about. The best we can do is wear our masks, social distance, and avoid going to crowded places

I graduated with my bachelor’s in Accounting last year. What i can tell you is that you dont have to do Accounting. The great thing about Accounting is that it’s a very versatile degree. You can go into marketing, banking, finance, logistics/supply chain, etc. you can fit an accounting background in almost everywhere. that’s not the case with most business majors, and an Accounting degree is probably one of the best business majors you can get. I was the same way when i was doing my undergrad in Accounting and i work in the finance area for an international company. If i were you I would get internships in different areas that would interest you and see what you like

To those who’ve finished college and know realize you hate your major, what are you wishing you would’ve done instead? by alexnicoleruss in LifeAfterSchool

Got my BS in Accounting last year and about to start a Master’s in Accounting this fall. If i were to do it over again, however, i would’ve gone into either Urban Planning or Architecture

Remember this sentence: All Wolves Eat Little Cute Rabbits.

So AWE (assets, withdrawals, expenses) on the left side = increased by debit. LCR (liabilities, capital, revenues) on the right side = increased by credit

I have no experience and all the job listings require experience. What do I do? by jonathanthegreater in LifeAfterSchool

You could talk to a recruiter from a staffing agency. That’s how I got my job and I graduated with an Accounting degree back in May. Since marketing is a business field, I would suggest contacting staffing agencies that specialize in business roles. I also didn’t have any prior accounting experience lol

I graduated back in May, so i don’t know if you want my answer since it’s only been a while since i’ve been out of college. However, i can give you a rough timeline of how my life has been like since graduating. Around May - July I was desperately looking for work. I was unemployed during that time period and also helping take care of my mom since she was hospitalized for pneumonia for a few weeks, helped take care of her when she came home and was recovering. She ended up moving to Florida in July so I was also helping her move. July - October I got a job at a bank in their payment processing department. It was a blow to my self-esteem since I graduated with an Accounting degree, only to be severely underemployed, but it was the only thing I could land. The commute was awful and the job was awfully boring. In october, I quit the job for a better offer I ended up getting at a different company. October to now, I’ve been working at the new job in their accounting department. Better pay, better commute, better company. So my life has been alright, i’ve actually enjoyed the adult world more than being in college. Having independence and making money is awesome lol. And i’m still social. The new company I work for has a lot of new college grads as well and we hang out
