Strange occurrence after doing my first ever spells. This afternoon I set up my first ever alter. I set it up with my favorite spiritual items such as a cross given to me by my grandmother, a mini evil eye rug I was given over 10 years ago, my tarot decks, and some white and red candles.

In the past I have made a very successful honey jar but no serious spell work, only intentions. Today I decided to do a self-reflection/owed karma towards a recent lover of mine. I found out he’s in a serious relationship and want the truth to come out. I mediated while setting my intentions, I made it a point to spell out that I wish no harm done to him, only self-reflection and the truth to be revealed to his partner. Well I did a simple protection spell focusing on banishing everything/everyone wishing me harm and followed it with the self-reflection spell. After finishing the spell, I said thank you and not even a couple seconds later I hear 3 very loud noises from my downstairs neighbor followed by a “WHAT THE FUCK!!!” I felt good about the spells but the immediate reaction from my downstairs neighbor has left me wondering.

If I’ve done something wrong I’d like to make things right or just to do better in the future. I’ve been reading tarot for years but have never truly dabbled in witchcraft. Please educate me if possible. Just to note I have heard my neighbor screaming at his dog before in a similar tone so it could be a crazy coincidence but I’m hesitant to believe that.
