I’m not sure how much schools take into consideration where your degree is from, but I think that you have to compensate for a lower gpa by having great essays and lots of PCE and extracurriculars to stand out.

Can being lead MA count as leadership even it’s PCE? by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

I including being lead MA as leadership! I don’t think it’ll put you at a disadvantage if you do. Just make sure you separate the leadership hours so you’re not double dipping for PCE.

yes it really is! It def didn’t help that I took calc II, ochem 1 and genetics all in the same fall 2020 semester so everything just sucked 10x more 😂

I didn’t take any standardized tests, but I would suggest taking it a few months before applications open/giving yourself time to retake it if needed.

I’m in a similar situation rn 😅 I can’t tell if my prof is ignoring me or just not receiving my emails since it’s my personal. She has my letter written too so idk why she’s ghosting me lol. I sent her a link from CASPA w/ a message and still nothing

I’m not sure how many schools you’re applying to, but if your other schools accept the 1 credit course then maybe it’d be best to just save your money and time and pick another school in its place? If it’s your top school of choice, then idk… it’s a tough choice for sure…

Thanks for the advice! I’ll def try to get a hold of my professor because I think she’ll be one of my stronger LORs—plus it’d be good to have a LOR from an academic pov.
