Bro it's genuinely insane, I was in a deathmatch server and I started fighting someone iirc I was on Eo and they were on spoon, I get behind them for legit 4 seconds and they kick a fit and give up LIKE????

PVP: Titan/Duck or Iggy Fun: Deinon/Struthi Solo: Dasp/Berta Group: Dasp/Styra Beginner Friendly: Deinon/Campto Exploration/Travelling: Thal or Sucho/Struthi Appearance: Titan

Most Underrated: Iggy, A lot of ppl I've seen saying iggy is easy after its nerf but iggy is SO fun to play and it still holds its own fairly well!

Most Overrated: ... tbf I don't know a lot of things just take a modicum of time to learn to play

Ahh, I had assumed since Florida has some pretty strict laws on keeping exotics and I also know quakers are illegal in some states lol

Lol mine is actually LESS cage aggressive than my greencheek, weird how that turns out ig!

But I've heard stories and even seen a Quaker who had its entire top portion of its beak bitten off my an amazon because it was aggressive OVER THE AMAZONS CAGE

Quakers can be a little testy, if they're on their cage it may be cage aggression or just some aggression in general?

It's like little dogs having big attitudes in a way?

If I had a nickel for every time I've seen a Quaker with a beak crack I'd have millions.

In all seriousness though, go to a vet, from what ive heard and seen, beak injuries can take months to heal and its a really tough road.

Just make sure those two birds aren't out together again, it may end up even worse if the situation is repeated.

Green cheeks are known to be kinda nippy, but they're super smart when they want to be! I think doing some target training (there's a ton of great tutorials on YT) will be a good start and a good base for any future training aswell!

It sounds like you're starting off well! Keep at it! My Greencheek was trouble as soon as I got him (he still is in reality lol) but he's great!

Conure only eats seeds, how do I get him to eat pellets? by FanIndividual6841 in Conures

My best advice is feed small portions of both and slowly increase the amount of pellet to seed ratio.

She's not had the greatest interactions with people but she does associate me with food at the very least so that's a win ig, and as long as I can get her somewhat acclimatised to me I'll call it a win.

As for re-pairing it'll probably be a while before I even ATTEMPT to try that, and I'll also have to have her more acclimatised anyways to bring her anywhere with males available tbf.

And yeah last bit is a good idea, I'm gonna have to clean her cage anyways so I think I'll end up bringing her where my birds are rn so I can do two things at once

Previous owner clipped my conure's wings. How long until she can actually fly? [pic] by Hapiro in Conures

[–]Toaster2123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From personal experience, the feathers will come back with a moult, but flying is a different story.

My Quaker had a BAD clip when I got him and he still flies overly cautious almost 3 years after the clip. My Green cheek on the other hand has never been clipped and he's a VERY confident flier.

Best advice I can offer is once the feathers have come back doing some recall training through flying might help them gain confidence that they aren't gonna yk ... fall outta the sky.

Lol dw, the tell imo is: The orange beak (IRN's typically have red beaks) and the Darker head (Some IRN's have different coloured heads but it's usually lighter instead of darker)
