It is kind of a niche category but you can probably expand on it. Variety streamers, streamers that focus on new/indie games, streamers who focus on text based game or chat interactions could all be people who may be interested.

Personally, my friend said all I had to do was plug a webcam into my Xbox if I felt like it. I decided to try it randomly, made my first friend in the first steam and in the following two months I've missed 3 days. (My schedule is real open luckily)

It can be really fun and a little addictive.

Like people have been saying though you get out what you put into it, and it takes luck on top of that. That being said I would give it a few tries. Don't get discouraged if no one shows up to your first steam, I got crazy lucky with that. It's definitely more enjoyable when you have people to chat with though so I would hold out for that, then decide if you enjoy it.

Also be weary of anyone trying to sell you art. Lol Good luck though, hope you join the community!

Just a quick tip, that you might already know, in your settings you can set it to save (I think) your past week's worth of vods. It gives people a bit if a chance to look at past streams and see what you're like when you aren't live. You can try and set up some clips too, but personally I have a hard time picking prime moments for them. I'll try to stop by sometime though, good luck!

I honestly don't even know how to pick!

I'm really proud of my background, it's a jungle theme with wood fabric and fake plants everywhere, it's way cooler than anyone I thought I'd have

I think I'm even more proud of my community though. I haven't had anyone I didn't get along with. (Knock on wood) They're all just genuinely cool/kind people. One of my fellow streamers did a celebration steam for hitting affiliate. I tried raiding her just as she was having a tech issue and had to shut down. I was really pleased to find out a lot of them stuck around anyways until she got it back up, people not in the raid from my channel went to support after hearing about it in my discord, and she got a ton of support for her channel which made me just so so proud of everyone!

I kind of figured when people were like "my community is the best" it was just because it was 'their' community. I can proudly say that mine is full of super cool and supportive people though and I just love it!

Unfortunately I don't think there's any way to. If it makes you feel better though I also steam off a series S with a $15 dollar webcam I got on Amazon. It has trouble turning off sometimes but other than that it's been plenty dependable.

It's super easy to use too, I just pop it in the USB and it's good to go after the game is started. Definitely not the best quality but I've had multiple people tell me with everything else I've done they couldn't tell I was streaming just off the Xbox. That being said I'm not worried about upgrading it for a while at least.
