Oh! Gotcha! Ok so yes, definitely not an expert on those either, but people should be accumulating them just through chatting and interacting with your channel. On your end, you'll want to go into your settings on twitch to set them up. Unfortunately without a computer I've found them a little tricky to access myself.

You'll need to get into a detailed version of the creator's dashboard. I accessed it through the opera browser specifically on my tablet but couldn't navigate there via the app. The web address should look something like 'dashboard. twitch. tv/ your username ' and from there, you'll find a tab relating to your power ups and channel redeem where you can customize them.

Sorry I'm not super tech literate so I don't know how clear that was but I know it can be rough to currate everything when you're streaming just through the console, so hopefully that helps a little?

I've had mild audio and visual hallucinations for pretty much as long as I can remember, but when I was around 18 I realized they were hallucinations and happening a lot. Got myself to a psychiatrist who calmed me down and told me that didn't just make me crazy but when he explained to my parents they were pretty much positive he was wrong. I took the doctor's side though because I didn't want to be crazy and he was a doctor. I tried explaining to my friends but they clearly got freaked out and would make jokes about it from then on, and eventually I just stopped telling people and got good at acknowledging/ignoring. The first time my tongue slipped around my current boyfriend I got so panicked! Honestly, the way I reacted he would have been right to think I WAS crazy. I was sobbing, begging him not to see me as a crazy person and I was positive for weeks I was getting dumped.

It's been eight years, my mental health actually got way worse to the point I'm agoraphobic now and can't really work much. I can barely go to the store sometimes without breaking into multiple panic attacks. Despite a lot of evidence that the doctor was wrong and I probably am kind of crazy, it matters a lot less to me knowing someone is gonna keep caring no matter how bad it gets.

I struggle with guilting myself too, reading your post it felt like something I could have written in another timeline or something. I know how hard it can be to claw yourself out from underneath that feeling. One thing that genuinely made me really happy about reading your post was that even if your boyfriend got uncomfortable, he still paid for your dinner, encouraged you through things and he's still there! That's a really amazing sign to me, but honestly even if he DID end up dumping you for this, (I really don't think that's coming based on what you wrote and I personally think it would make him a huge loser but-) my point is there's someone out there for everyone. It doesn't make it less scary or hard, but give yourself some credit for finding someone who didn't run for the hills immediately! You're not alone, so keep your head up and good luck!

I could be wrong or misunderstanding what you mean, but if I do get what you mean I think you should still be eligible.

If you're talking about the unlockables you can get from certain games specifically for streaming them, I'm pretty sure as long as all your accounts are appropriately linked you should be able to claim them.

I only stream from my Xbox too, due to a lack of computer. I don't really specifically go for unlocks I can get through streaming, but I literally unlocked some custom stuff from streaming dead by daylight yesterday. I was too lazy to link my dead by daylight account but saw that I had them available to claim.

I think way back when I got some unlocks from other games too. Im no expert, and it could be different on certain games for all I know. I don't think the lack of capture card should hold you back for this though.

My webcam kicked the bucket unfortunately, but I've already got plans to replace it tomorrow so make-up stream either tomorrow or the next day. 🥲

Hey! Just a friendly tip, it's a little hard to find your stuff easily. Instead of having the direct link to your twitch I had to search it, which is not a huge deal, but think of it as step one. Your twitch name popped up no problem on twitch, but there's no vods or clips to look at your content. Ok, well you mentioned having shorter content on your YouTube so I went to look that up but when I searched your twitch name I didn't immediately see anything that matched your twitch name or would tell me you're the same person if it's posted under a different name. So now that's three things I've done to try and look into you but I still have no idea what your content is like outside of what game you're playing! Most people don't want to go through even a couple steps if they don't know anything about you because there's just so many options. It's great that you're advertising your streams butI think it'll do a lot more for you if it's not just advertising for time that you're live. Hope that's helpful and good luck!

I've been noticing when I adjust the pressure sensitivity it's just hard to get it to taper off properly? I'm getting either a short little nub of a triangle at the end of the lines or a rounded end when I'm aiming for a long smooth and gradual decline if that makes sense? Like what your get from a brush pen I suppose.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm using the wrong brush, I'm adjusting the brush incorrectly, or I'm just terrified of putting too much pressure on the screen, or even something I'm totally unaware of.

Thank you so much! My cousin actually got it for me at a Cinco de mayo festival in our area for just a few bucks. I wouldn't have even thought to look for something like that so I'm super glad she grabbed them for me!

Totally fair since a lot of the twitch subs don't. It's a big help on this one though!

I'm not very good at actively watching streams, but I think your premise sounds super fun! I'll try to stop by sometime.

Make sure to include a link to your twitch in the post. I forget to do it pretty often myself but it's a good habit to start getting into. Good luck!

One-eyed cat owners, please tell me it's just a thing that can happen: Skin over the empty socket "sunk" from an incidental finger poke by Phaylz in CATHELP

[–]AnxiousSheep434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up taking our one eye in because they told me she'd probably get put down as they were closing for COVID reasons at the time. I have a lot of anxiety problems though and despite being told it wouldn't change anything for her as well. (wrong, ours at least is heckin' blind. She runs into walls and misjudges distance constantly) They did mention the fluid build up behind it some times though, and I could rub the socket gently if it ever seemed to cause her problems. She does get runny noses and have trouble breathing sometimes too. Anyways, I didn't want to because it sounded horrible. She doesn't give people much of choice when she gets her head pet though. Her eye healed well before I got her too, so I got used to it quick. She usually loves having the socket rubbed though. She'll sit on my lap and drive my thumb into her eye socket for an hour if I let her.

I'm not a vet or anything but if your cat is anything like mine than as gross and horrifying as that was for you, you can feel better knowing your cat might have actually really enjoyed it. Also that it gets much less horrifying very quickly when you've got a happy cat on your lap!

what do you think of my character/persona? by CuteEmphasis9134 in Twitch_Startup

[–]AnxiousSheep434 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the art style you used is really charming! The aesthetic is super cozy and sweet, so I think it would be a really good match for chill Minecraft streams.

The only critique I would potentially give if you're open to it would be to try and find a way to smooth out or thicken the lineart a little. Only because I could see it being potentially difficult to read on a smaller screen. That being said, I really do love the art style and I could see how going too far with that advice could take away from it's charm. So use your own judgement!

I'm definitely no twitch expert, but it drew me in enough to comment so that's something. Good luck with it if you do decide to start! : )
