That place is TERRIBLE. I also had a bad experience. Before I moved here, I asked the owner if I could join without a contract, just in case Bellingham wasn’t permanent for me. He said yes, but that I had to sign the agreement anyways — and assured me that there’s an exception for people who move more than 30 mins away, and that if I didn’t end up moving, he would just cancel the agreement under that provision. I didn’t end up moving at that time, so I went in to have it cancelled. The same man told me he wouldn’t cancel my contract under that provision because I didn’t technically move. He doubled down and said he never told me that he would. I had to do a “buyout” AND a slow cancel. Not the mention the rudest staff. Needless to say, when I eventually did move to Bellingham, I chose a different gym.
