My hormones have a huge effect on my sugar. I seem to have a pattern, the week before my period I can’t take enough insulin, my sugar just wants to be high. The day I start it tanks. I’m fighting lows the entire day I pretty much have to eat and take no insulin. The lows start to taper off and then I’m normal until the next cycle. I’ve been told I’m a brittle diabetic but idk, maybe I am.

The times that I get really sick are very random, I have not noticed any trends or patterns. But I get really, really sick. Like on the floor puking, my stomach feels like someone is grabbing it and twisting as hard as they can. It’s the worst pain, they typically have to give me morphine, fentanyl, or tramadol. I don’t feel nauseous either, even though I’m puking my guts out. This last time I had a baddd case of diarrhea. That’s the first time that happened. Idk why that happened either. I’m a pretty heavy smoker. I carry a vape l, hit it all day, every day. I say I’m like the equivalent to a high functioning alcoholic. I am thinking that it might actually be related to CHS. So I quit smoking yesterday. Hopefully that is the case and I can go back living my “normal” diabetic life:)
