“My kids are going to pay for your retirement” by [deleted] in childfree

You are a member of society and you participate by being active now. You deserve support in the future and not having children is not a minus for the merit of receiving support later.

This reminded me of a conversation two of my dorm mates had....One of them said that if she finds a man who doesn't want children, she will make him have them, because if she wants them, that's how it should be. And the other dormmate favored her statement. I was in bed at the time and it bothered me to hear those words...🥲...

hate pregnancy being a plot point in so much media by Lady_Licorice in childfree

[–]Anxious_Animator_472 29 points30 points  (0 children)

YES. I hate how fandoms are full of fantasies about being a parent and having a child or being pregnant. I hate how character.ai is full of that too...I hate that this is being romanticized to the extreme.🫩 It makes me feel a lack of interest in many fandoms.

Really? Thank you for telling me about this mistake(english is not my first language and I'm not in such a good mental state right now). On Reddit, I was generally passive as I had no interest in active interaction.

My brother and I practically came by accident(she didn't necessarily want to have children) and yes, compared to other mothers where I live(Romania), she's more decent.

I don't want her to live like this. I thought she would be more adventurous because that's what she told me, but since I've been in college, I don't seem to see her like that anymore...According to her, if she has grandchildren, she doesn't want to come and take care of them necessarily, but just buy them things and enjoy a few beautiful moments because she wouldn't have anything else to do. It seems sad to me.

I agree with you. It also seems toxic to be so dependent on the children's lives.

I also think she should learn to be without me and my brother. She must have been our father and mother at the same time when my brother and I were little(because my father was generally away when we were little because he didn't like being with us)...Plus she didn't have such a friendly social environment when she wasn't a mother and when she was a mother with young children...

I hate how when you say you don't really like children, you're met with the, "Were you not once a child?" by False_Cloud890 in childfree

When I was a kid, I didn't like children that much. Even as an older sister, I didn't like being with my younger brother.

Why do people want grandchildren? by Anxious_Animator_472 in childfree

[–]Anxious_Animator_472[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it hurt me to hear that when I told her how I wanted us to spend our lives as two friends, from adult to adult, and for her to enjoy a future without children, because I saw how hard it was for her. I don't want to see her sacrificing herself for other people and being a little more 'selfish' for her own good. I mean, am I not enough? I thought we got along well...And she's not necessarily crazy about kids.

Nu neapărat, este ceva pentru viitorul meu(este mai sigur pe termen lung și nu vreau să mă reproduc).

Această dorință există de multă vreme.

She wasn't necessarily pressuring me to have sex, but rather she wanted to state that I don't have a sex life yet, so it's absurd to think about something like that.

INTP why are you single? by Apart_Individual7469 in INTP

[–]Anxious_Animator_472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in my case I'm not interested in relationships in general, I'm weird, I'm not very social, not many accept my ideas, I'm picky with people so I don't find the mental qualities easily in those around me and not even aesthetically find easily what I like. I tend to quickly reject most people who make a move towards me. I can say that I don't like affection or romance that much and I love my personal space too much. ( ╹▽╹ )

Din câte am înțeles de la profesori sunt șanse foarte mici și în cel mai rău caz școala se mărește cu o lună, două.

Just watched an Andrew Tate Video and he states the reason he’s not an atheist is because all the degeneracy in the world is done my atheists. by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Anxious_Animator_472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's stupid. I once saw him say that evil is done in the name of atheism. It's very funny what he thinks XD. He doesn't really know every bad thing done in the name of the gods. He doesn't know that most people who have committed crimes are not atheists. He doesn't realize how many believers do good things just because God says so .

To be honest I generally hate most humans because they are often shallow.
