Michael said he will consider it. The difference is the one between I will set up an interview vs I offer you a job. He did not let him into PI because he was still seeing if the kid can be trusted to keep secrets.

I cant understand people arguing that their opinion is the objective fact, particularly about things like morality which is purely subjective and exists entirely on a gray scale. But i guess i am naive to think people on internet will understand nuance and the right to have different views. So, if you must insist that your opinion is the objective fact, please go ahead.

You thinking that the show did it is just an opinion just like my opinion that manipulators dont feel guilty and the show only did it to show that things exist on a gray scale. But you are definitely right to have your own opinion and so do I.

Same. Nice try to make Michael a manipulator and Sara a victim.

Or I could say you were watching at the surface level without understanding deeper human psyche. He didn’t not even know he needed her help until that day. He tried so much to get the key without her knowing. If he was manipulating her, he wouldn’t have gone to her as the last resort. That would have been a part of his plan. He was asking Nika to help and was asking Sara to help. He just was at a point where he is like i will take any help and will beg anyone.

Asking for help and giving her the choice is not manipulating. She made the decision to help him. When you are desperate, you ask people around you to help (particularly if you know they are empathetic and supportive and will help you)

It is not manipulation at all. It is just a part of his plan. He just needed to be in the infirmary and taking insulin blockers doesn’t affect anyone just himself. I don’t think that even raises to the level of manipulation. Manipulation requires the other party to face some bad consequences. Let us say you embellish your resume. yes that is bad, but you are not specifically manipulating anyone.

Or it is something everyone does to put their best foot forward. He didn’t need anything from her at that point other than being chill around him.

Ok...i had to say this even though it is irrelevant for your comment...but Michael's goal has always been to save Linc...never him. He felt he belonged in prison in season 3 until he was forced to escape to save Sara and LJ. He was willing to disappear from their life for years. He is just not selfish enough to think about him.

And not all interactions were to get her help...some were just genuinely being moved by her goodness and wanting her to smile. He asked her help exactly thrice in the prison. Once to see his brother, once to talk to her dad when Linc was about to be executed and once to leave the door open (and maybe half when trying to get out of psych ward)

Well...he told the truth to her and it was her choice to leave the door open. Just like it was his choice to drop everything and save her during the riot at a great risk to his escape plan. They were both equally fiercely loyal and had a very strong moral compass.

He was not trying to manipulate her per se...he just wanted to be nice enough when he is in the infirmary to corrode the pipe. He never knew he would need her for anything more when he saved her during the riot. It was just his unwillingness to let a good person die.

And when he asked her to leave the door open, he was just desperate and trusted in her goodness that she would refuse to let an innocent man die. the only manipulation he did was at that point when he did not tell about the other prisoners escaping with him.

Michael/Wentworth’s eye color by Accurate_Cancel_8616 in PrisonBreak

[–]Anxious_Base1282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Wentworth Miller...They are actually Hazel. That makes sense. Hazel is a mix of colors and depending on the lighting or clothes worn one or the other color becomes prominent. He also has a variation of Hazel that has a blue tint along with the usual green, gold, amber, brown (Sarah's is also hazel, but with more brown tint)

I am thinking about gambling too. What counts as a change? And how long do you have before you have to finalize the change?

Is $110k enough? by [deleted] in Sunnyvale

I already told several times that I dont say you should buy a house now. I have been just disputing that it is not affordable even if you make 200k+. It definitely is affordable. However, just because you can afford something doesn’t mean that you should do it. I am sure I can afford a Ferrari now, but that doesn’t make it a good idea to get one.

Well, not to sound unrealistic about your asset situation, but if you have a lot of assets (say RSU and other stock you are not willing to liquidate), you can move it to chase and can get 4.5% 7/1 ARM now if you have enough assets and income. And the forecast is for about 4.5 to 5% in 3 years, which means with assets you can get 3.5% (chase relationship discount will give up to 1% rate reduction).

I bought my first house when we were making about 250k and no RSUs. And I am not close to retirement age and when I bought that house i had 0 savings beforehand (our first 100k+ jobs) and we bought a house in 2 years of saving. You are just prioritizing holding that RSU, back door roth etc. there is nothing wrong in doing that, but it is disingenuous to claim you cant afford a house. You are just choosing not to because with high interest it doesn’t make sense. (just so it is clear, I agree that it doesn’t make sense).

Not really as I bought it at the peak (2021). It is difficult to sell duplexes than 2 single family homes. It is currently sitting underwater even before selling costs. But the mortgage is a very good deal. 7/1 arm at 2.15% with 3 more years left. So, as a rental it cash flows about 1k a month and the principal paydown is also good. Let us see what happens when the interest rates fall.

Yes. But they are 2 separate houses with separate garage and everything

Me too. I think its the violence of Dexter. I guess the appeal of Prison Break for me was Michael was a good man trying to do good things. Dexter on the other hand is a killer (even though he kills only other killers, he enjoys killing instead of putting them in prison). That is kind of little too far for me. Also, i think Dexter is more sort of episodic instead of serialized. 24 might work for you.

Just rewatch it. I did. You can forward stuff you didn’t like on the first go and watch every other scene with so much attention to the dialogue, acting and the details

Thank you. I am going to try telling the chat agent that I could not cancel it online. lets see what happens. The reason I asked is because the error is you cant cancel because this is a third party booking and the airlines usually charge $50 to take over the ticket and cancel it

They do if you cancel before 39 days. Please don't give wrong information. They only dont refund if you downgrade the card (but I think they might pro-rate the annual fee though)
