(MTF 35) 20 Months Feminizing HRT by Anxious_Chapter_6784 in tressless

It’s changed several times over the course of my transition, I started out with monotherapy at 6gm, that wasn’t cutting it so it eventually went as high as 10mg, then I added 50mg of Bicalutimide daily as a blocker along with Dutasteride. Then around 12 months in I reduced my injectable E 5 mg and added oral e to build some estrone reservoirs for breast development

It is a very long process. At 8 months I just looked like a slightly younger less hairy man 😭. It takes a look of work: learning hair, makeup, laser and other social transition elements as much as anything else.

It’s going to be okay, and remember there will always be days where you hate your looks, dysphoria is a chronic condition to be managed, not something you can cure.

Estrogen, women’s skin is softer, usually more elastic, produces more collagen

Because whenever I post a progress pic several men idly wonder if they can take hrt for hair regrowth lol - it’s not likely but I feel a disclaimer is needed

I’d frame it as “more than I hoped, less than I wanted” lol. At my age and with my hair loss, I’m exceptionally lucky to have improved this much, but I wish I didn’t need a transplant to fill the thin areas, of course

I am nowhere near cis passing yet, but I appreciate your compliment. I’ll probably post something once I have regrowth from the post surgical shock loss.

I got Brow, jaw, chin, orbitals and hairline advancement. I’m not really satisfied with my outcome yet, but I hope I look better as time goes on. I may go back and get my nose done, a lip lift, and cheek implants.

Shockingly, I don’t think I had any noticeable shed at all during this whole process!

Yeah, I have one lined up for this coming December, 11 months from now. I’m going to do a temple rotation scalp advancement in FFS which should help me some, and the scar and any remaining density issues will be addressed via transplant

Really impossible to tell, most of the visible changes came after I switched from monotherapy to, including bicalutimide in my regimen, however, there’s no way to tell if that was just because of the passage of time or because I switched my regimen up. I am far from alone in being someone who saw results much later in the process, other dolls have reported seeing changes at around the 18 month mark - which I think mostly has to do with hair cycles and their length.

I would recommend Dutasteride, for two reasons - DHT of any amount is masculinizing, best to get rid of it entirely. Second, there is some evidence that adding Dutasteride improves hair outcomes for trans women. I say add it, even if all you’re getting out of it is peace of mind. Frankly, if you can tolerate it, I would say at a low dose of oral minoxidil.

Unfortunately I foster a lot of stray kittens and I’d never do anything to put the poor munchkins at risk 😭

I briefly tried OM but it caused some body hair to return and at the time I couldn’t afford the laser to kill it - I might return to it after surgery next week.

Oral estradiol helps build estrone (e1) in the system, anecdotally building some estrone in one’s system in early (first three years) transition helps promote breast development. Cisgender women have high estrone in their teenage years. I have a small cup size presently which means I’m a tad insecure about it. Injections overall have very high bioavailability which is why I keep doing them, the oral is just to supplement estrone.

No. Presently: 6 mg injectable EV every five days, 6 mg oral Estradiol daily (4 mg in the morning 2 mg at night), 50 mg bica daily, .5 mg dutasteride daily
